CH.1 Strangers in the Night
The sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the empty streets of the small city. The Vampire hunter ran down another alleyway and cursed when he came to another dead end. What was it with these big cities and putting fences and walls in the narrow passageways? Lunar sighed and ran his free hand through silver locks of hair. His other hand held his stainless steel automatic. The safety turned off just in case he ran into the rogue Vampire that terrorized the city. He pivoted on his heel and walked back out in the street.
Despite the darkness, Lunar decided against using magic to shed light on the street. He could not use magic for too long anyway, his body would tire out too fast. He could use a light spell for about 5 minuteshardly enough time to hunt down a Vampire. No good came from magic either since Lunar didnt even have a grasp on the basics of Lesser Magic. He glanced at his watch, 4 AM. The sun would rise soon, making it more diffi

Your coffees going to get cold, Lunar, Anna warned, sipping her iced tea.
I dont want it he sighed. Anna frowned. Honestly, Lunar was way too difficult sometimes. She set her glass down on the small circular table.
Then why did you order it?
I dont know. It just seems stupid to come to a cafe and not get anything, he rested his chin on the palm of his hand and gazed out the large picture window. He looked tired, more so than usual and the purple bags under his eyes looked darker. Did he even sleep last night?
Then give it to me. Ill drink it. Anna stated, extending her arm out to take Lunars coffee.
Why do you want it? You dont even like coffee, he asked, moving the beverage so it was out of the girls reach.
Its so wasteful not to drink it, she argued, And Im willing to suffer through the awful bitterness if it mean

Ch. 2 Famous Last Words
Lunar drummed his fingertips on his knees. He was half sitting and half lying down on his red, overstuffed couch. His head hung back, resting on the arm of the sofa. A somber piano tune played quietly on his radio and he was tapping his fingers on his knees to the sound. He wished he had a real piano and promised himself that when he saved up enough money hed buy one if he saved up enough money. Most of his paycheck went towards the rent, while the rest paid for food and other basic necessities.
He grumbled and his hands abandoned his knees to pick up the frayed end of his grayish-purple scarf. He smiled slightly, remembering when Mireille (his unofficial caretaker) gave it to him. It was darker back then but years of use faded the color and made it noticeably thinner. He ran his fingers across it and spotted light brownish blots near the edges. He glared; fond memories transformed themselves into nightmares. No amount of washing w

It feels like my heart has been opened,
rescued from the prison of darkness.
I want him to know just how much I love him
and care for him.
He completes me
He makes me feel important
And he makes my heart complete.

Ch. 4 Was it a Dream?
The only light that seeped into Eclipses dark room was from the moon. It wasnt even full and yet it was still able to light his room up completely or maybe it was just in his genes to be freakishly sensitive to light. No, that couldnt be it he never had trouble with the light before. Whatever the reason was it kept Eclipse awake. Grumbling, he rolled onto his stomach and reached for his digital clock that sat on the small nightstand next to his bed. The glowing red lights on the clock indicated that it was well passed midnight.
Slamming the clock back down he groaned, Come on ! he pressed his face into the pillow and kicked his legs. Eventually his limbs got tangled in the sheets and he spent a good five minutes fumbling in the dark trying to free himself. He sat up, resting his head in the palm of his hand, he hated when he couldnt sleep. Especially when he had something important planned the
