Conceptual drawing of an Imperial Battleship-class airship by ~kakapoopie. All credit goes to him for coming up with this conceptual design.
The ICA Traflagar is the primary flagship of the Imperial Central Authority in my book I'm working on, the primary enemies of the Arcadian Republic.
Currently it is the command ship of Army Group South as the empire attempts to wipe out the Republic ally of Elysium (a paladin-descended nation). The story is set in a mix of World War 2 mixed with high fantasy (so magic co-exists with tanks and battleships, but no lasers or robots!).
Ship design based heavily off the famous 'Yamato' battleship, though uses a very unique skeletal frame design to make the ship lighter than she looks and thus more capable of airborne flight. The ship is armed with 3 'quad' 18-inch turrets, rivaling the firepower of almost all but the Republic's heaviest ships of the line.
In this drawing, the Traflagar is fighting off an allied airstrike before she can join her accompanying fleet, the intent of the plan to prevent or at least slow the arrival of such a heavily armed warship in an upcoming battle.
Here is the insignia for Gunfighters Squadron. The unit was formed shortly after the Battle of Endor to function primarily as a test and evaluation squadron for new proposed starfighters. When the squadron was issued the new Feri-Tek T-72A E-Wing, they immediately pointed out that while the fighter has superior speed and maneuverability then the current fighters in use it also had sub-standard laser cannons. While a solution for this problem was being explored for this short coming by Fer-Tek designers and engineers the maintenance crews assigned to the Gunfighter devised a temporary solution, replace the artificially spin-sealed Tibana Gas with naturally spin-sealed Tibana Gas and increase the power to the laser capacitors by a factor of 20. While risky, the solution worked and the Gunfighters made their recommendation that the E-Wing enter full front line service.
Gunfighters Squadron was re-assigned from a test and evaluation squadron to a front line combat squadron during the Battle of Mon Calamari, due to the pilots familiarity and skill with the E-Wing. They were so effective in defeating the World Devastators during this campaign, that the N.R.N. made the decision to keep them as a full front line unit. This decision made Gunfighters Squadron the N.R.N.'s very first active E-Wing squadron.
The Victory-Class is a quick-strike cruiser designed to work as part of a hit-and-run task force. Its armor is rather thin for a ship of its tonage, but its missile firepower is unmatched in its class and its main guns alone can take down most capital ship armor with ease. However, it is rather short on anti-fighter defenses, and must rely on support ships for fighter/bomber screening.
The Paladin-class was designed in the aftermath of the Second System War as a patrol craft for defending Republic assets during peacetime.
When the Interplanetary Police Force Initiative was formed (in response to rampant piracy throughout the system), the Paladin was the natural choice as a standard vessel for the UESF's branch of Police Force.
Originally, the Paladin was conceived as a light frigate, a slimmed-down version of the highly-successful Champion-class. In later stages of development, however, it became clear that what Terrandris was designing was too small and lightly armed to fulfil that role, and the ship was reclassified as a heavy corvette.
For it's part, the Paladin-class has done it's job exeptionally well. With its four "cap-killer" frigate-sized 254mm cannons turrets, a Paladin can make piecemeal of almost any non-military craft, and it's racks of Hellfire missiles can send fighter pilots running.
However, the Paladin makes some sacrifices in order to achieve the low cost and high maintainability required of a mass-production patrol vessel. It's cannons, while offering considerable forward firepower, leave the rear firing arcs completely open. In addition, it's point defense coverage is somewhat weak compared to other military vessels of similar size, leaving them vulnerable to missile bombardment.
This is the insignia for Blackmoon Squadron, they are currently deployed in the F/A-88 B-Wing. Along with Twin-Suns Squadron and Nomad Squadron they are charged with the defense of the Hyperspace Routes in the Arkanis sector from any Imperial Remnant Forces and Space Pirates. The three squadrons are based on the Quasar-Fire Class Carrier Independence, with a home port and support facilities on the planet Tattooine, in the city of Mos Estrella.
This is a character that I played briefly in a Star Wars campaign. He was a noble from Naboo fleeing his obligations to his pro-Empire family in order to pursue a search for the galaxy's greatest treasures.
Set in JediMSieer's Universe, the Hammer Class battlecruiser is designed with Corellian, Alderaanian, and Mon Calamari technologies, creating a true weapon of war. With multiple shield generators, ten heavy turbolaser cannons, and twelve anti-starfighter batteries, the Hammer Class is the newest weapon against the evil Sith Forces for the Republic.
