This was probably one of my quickest drawings I've ever done. The original was in a notebook, which was completely redone digitally. The energy blast was probably the most challenging to do, but I'm satisfied with what I've done.
and... Don't bother asking why an MMZ reploid is fighting the MMX version of X. If anything, I simply chose to draw that drone because it was the easiest enemy to draw that X could fight.
Yyyyyyes! After putting this off for time eternal, I finally got round to doing my first fully CG-ed picture of Mega Man Zero. Since this is my artistic debut into a new MM series in ten years, I thought I'd start things off with a bang by producing my most complex piece since the picture of Delia. Well, here it is, folks.
I almost thought this would never see the light of day. You see, I drew Zero and Ciel way back in October 2002! But for various reasons, I never got around to completing the picture before now, so I'm sorry if the artwork looks a little out-of-date.
Anyway, the words, as indicated at the bottom, are lyrics from my favourite song, "Like Lovers (Holding On)" by Texas - a song from the Titan A.E. soundtrack. I just thought they expressed Zero and Ciel's struggle well, and the bittersweet melody of the song suits the atmosphere nicely. You ought to download the song off Kazaa just to see how it fits. ^_^
Weeell, I might have it done yesterday, but I've been reading the entire Planet Zebeth webcomic. Yes, all the 650+ strips and managed to read them all.
Okay, to the actual thing. Man, the first time I've launched the Mega Man Zero game on GameBoy Advance I thought it would be some kiddy-anime-thing. Oh for the Lord's sake, I was wrong, and actually the storyline has KICKED MY BUTT - weak, but still postapocalyptic climate, a war between Reploids (robots resembling humans, in case you don't know) etc. etc.. The Zero character simply rocks. He's like Shadow the Hedgehog of the Sonic games here, but WAY more better. Decided to do him a fanart to practice some action poses. He's damn dynamic, you know. Oh, almost forgot - I know Zero only from the GBA games (and what I've read on Wikipedia) - not from the other games/TV shows/comics/whatever. I like this newschool design more than the images of the old Zero from Wiki.
Somewhat dedicated to Matlush - because he's the one who pointed me that Mega Man games are actually fun.
