Similar Deviations
Police do their job according to a set of rules so that the public trust remains intact. True people of faith take responsibility for their faith and live by their doctrine -no exceptions- and so give their faith credibility. Doctors take an oath that is well known in order to better do their job.

Fundamentalists do not. They say whatever they like, do whatever they like, and justify if however they like - whatever the results are. There is no reason to trust them, no reason to accept them, and no credibility to their names - their entire foundation is based on desire, ego and lies.

Osama is a fundamentalist, but so is Bush Jr. - and we are all stuck in the middle. Fortunately, one can be voted out.

I hear so many people talk about how they support this idiot or that idiot because they come off as a 'good leader'. Get this straight American people: you don't elect leaders, you elect representatives...
You must make an effort to -lead them- to run the government as you would have them run it. You hold them accountable, you ask questions, you voice concerns. THAT is a democracy - it takes effort. Do anything less, and you will get fleeced...

Sorry Bush - it's not what you pull out of your ass that defines reality.

Even the most braindead of conservatives are done buying the lies. Although, they have moved on to making excuses for the most corrupt, secretive, useless, damaging, lazy, egocentric government administration this country has ever known in over 100 years...

...You’re nothing but a pack of cards...

Can't figure out why some people support Bush Jr.? Well, they don't know what they support.
Here is one poll you might find more valuable then most:

...and to the Bush supporters - if you don't understand Kerry, it's because you've not taken the time to understand.

Religion and faith have many uses, most of them WERE noble and gave cause for people to better themselves. Now, though, it seems many are twisting religion in order to make people afraid - to hold them to ancient ideals that serve no purpose other then to keep them away from issues of progress and change that scare those in power. These religious members are no better then witch doctors yelling at everyone to beg and give virgin sacrifice every time the sky thunders.
Like now - they claim homosexuals are evil... I remember when they said that allowing women equal rights would signal the end of the world - that flying machines were the devils work - that Africans were animals without souls and could therefore feel no real pain...
Are we ever going to learn to listen to reason and not to the fears of racists and bigots who claim to know god?

If you knew the history books - you wouldn't call me an alarmist...

Each bit of bad news feels like history repeating, and I want to cry.
Would the southern Christians please wake the fuck up!

Prejudice shows its face at times in the most unlikely places. It seems to hide in the shadows waiting to show its face in one way or another. The Bible has been used by many groups over the years to justify bigotry, hatred, oppression, racism and prejudice. The KKK used it with African Americans; many groups used it to keep women in their place and of course the boy scouts and Salvation Army used it with the gay community. I lit this shot solely with fire. This is the first piece in a series and part of a gallery show opening up in Nov. in Chicago at the Johnsonese Gallery. [link] I will probably lose half of my watchers with this series but hopefully I will gain more and generate some dialog.

The message says it all. Science, logic, and reasoning fail to make any argument against homosexual marriages. Usually, the logic is for them.
Oh, but please make a religious argument against it - I love pointing the hypocrisy in those :)
