(Boy into Wolf)
Miranda walked down the busy street. Children scampered about in their costumes, happily hauling bags of candy. "So cute." She thought to herself as she watched them, scanning the streets for someone about her age. Miranda was a witch, a good witch, but a witch none the less. As she continued to walk down the street, giggling every now and then when the children attempted to scare her, she smile suddenly when she saw a young man walking rather quickly towards an alley. "Perfect." She whispered.
Danny hurried down an alley, knowing it was a shortcut to the house party. "This better be worth the walk." He thought bitterly as he walked. The winds seemed to stop blowing and all the laughter of children seemed to fade farther and farther away.
Danny froze and turned around to see a young woman standing a few feet away from him. "Wh what do you want?" He stuttered, trying to disguise the surprise in his voice.
"Danny" The woman said again.

MonkeymanA cool breeze stirred the night air, bringing the ripe scents rising from the Delhi Drain. The creek was little more than an open sewer, a collecting spot for runoff water and human waste. In the heat of day cattle lay in it to cool themselves, lending their own unique odor to the pungent cocktail. The smell was sharp enough distract any newcomer unaccustomed to the crowded conditions of city life, but residents learned to tune it out like so much olfactory background noise.Monkeyman5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Arriving fresh from the USA armed with nothing more than youthful eagerness and what he had learned about India on television, David had been horrified by the stink. It was a constant twinge in his nose, an irritation he doubted he would ever get over. For the first time since he was bitten, he felt there were some disadvantages to being a werewolf beyond his coping ability.
He joked about it with his companions on their first day spent exploring New Delhi. They found little humor in his observations on the unpleas

It is on those never-ending nights
That the illusions of the night come.
Whether good or bad, forgotten t not,
They inspire those dreaming or left awake.
When one is unable to sleep these never-ending nights,
Then it is soon to come,
The inevitable creation of night poems.
Never to know what is really written
Until the morning comes, it reveals.
Death hiding behind every line,
Emotions poured into every word,
And hidden meanings yet to be found.
What may be written is endless
But there is only one thing that is for sure.
Before the never-ending nights are over, there will always be them,
Night poems, the poems of the mysterious nights,
And they shall never be forgotten.

The day was hot, a wet heat. The kind that made your clothes sticky before you even put them on. Mark lay in bed, starring at the glass lamp in the center of the ceiling, knowing that any moment his mother would burst through the door and turn it on. He was late, he already knew that but something inside him made him tired without even stirring. His muscles felt as though he'd worked all day and his bones seem to ache from repeated motion, though he had done nothing.
The white flash hurt and he quickly covered his eyes with an arm trying to blot out the wicked light. His ears hearkened a new pain as his mother sharp tone split the air. Mark! Why on earth are you still in bed? Do you know what time it is? Up! Now! His mother seemed more irritable than normal, but Mark guessed that was due to the unruly heat. It was enough to make anyone cranky.

Traversing the northern forests in the early spring was never an easy task, and were it not for the rewards, Richard Farns would never brave the cold and long hikes. He cursed under breath that stirred the air with a fine mist, angry that his quarry this year was a much longer hike from civilization than the previous years had been. Those had been much easier, quickly moving in and taking his prize, then getting back to the warm comforts of the cabin with it's large fireplace and central heating. This time seemed to be plagued with bad luck, from being stranded at the airport for days because of a freak storm, to spraining an ankle hiking to the cabin, the thoughts of cold hard cash the only thing egging him on.
He stopped to rest against a large oak, setting down his equipment before rubbing his gloved hands together to try to warm them up a bit, and shaking some still present snow from his coat and woolen cap. His equipment was rather heavy for a hike, and he was left to

How can you know my pain,
when you've never tried to understand.
How can you know my pain,
when you don't know what to do when I cry.
How can you ever possibly imagine,
the pain that is multiplied by your unknowing eyes.
Is that seriously all you will ever know?
Only know the fake happy smiles!!
Only the hidden tears!
Only what you WANT to see!
Well maybe you'll see when the blood flows free!!
Or when the cuts refuse to close!
Maybe you'll see when I'm lying on the floor,
blood and tears all around...
Is that what you want...
To really see my pain?
So you can finally understand,
do I really have to show you like that?

To give a bite I slipped into the truck and waved goodbye to my parents. I was going on another one of my special camping trips to indulge in my wolfish side. As I began to drive off, I went through my mental checklist of everything I had brought with me. I had a tent, and a few more homey materials in the back of the pickup, I had eggs and bacon for breakfast, an extra set of clothing and sleepwear (in case I shifted while dreaming). I also had, of course, skinning gear for when I hunted in werewolf form. I had learned to utilize the dear skins for a few simple camping rugs which I used in a tent or cave to make myself a lot more comfortable. To give a bite5 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

Sombra had once dragged Vincent into Claude's Hamburgers for lunch. The discomfort his second-in-command felt bled through his usually stoic attitude all too obviously. The scent of grease that hung in the air, so heavy you could almost sense it pooling at the bottom of your lungs, made him sneeze and shake his head the moment he entered the tiny establishment. He had the nerve to mumble under his breath after the food came that it was beneath them to eat such disgusting processed human feed. It took him almost an hour to dig the last pieces of a rather long French fry out of his left nostril.
Sombra enjoyed eating alone just fine. He was in the middle of devouring his third cheeseburger when a new customer walked through the door. Her scent came to him subtly through the odor of the fo

Teddy Lupin sat upright on his bed, his eyes glued to the wall on a fairly small clock. His eyes started to follow the second hand and it ticked around and around its face. Two hours to go, Teddy thought to himself as all threes hands on the clock came together.
Nothing had ever made him feel this excited before. Teddy tried many times to sleep the previous night, but a nerve in his body prevented him from sleeping, so he stayed up all night and stared at the clock, begging it to go faster. He got out of his bed and started to pace around his medium sized bedroom at his grandmothers house.
In two hours time, his Godfather, Harry, would come for him and take him, for the first time, to Diagon Ally for all of his books and supplies for his first year at Hogwarts. Teddy flopped down on to his bed and closed his eyes. He imagined going to

Tom and Karin crowded around me. What does it say? Tom asked.
I read aloud:
Werewolf: A person who is changed into a wolf, and who begins to look and act like one. No one knows why this happens. But we do know that a werewolf is very strong and very dangerous, especially when it is hungry. Some experts say that a witch can destroy a werewolf. It might even be possible for an ordinary person to overcome becoming one, but it would be very unwise to try. The safest way to deal with a werewolf is to get as far away as possible.
This gives me the shivers, Karin said.

To pack mates slowing passing on
Oh what I have seen
That was in the past you see
In the memories of yesterday
Now my eyes have dulled
Grown tired and old
They have lost the power of sight
Fearsome some might say
For sight is our entire world
And to be plunged into darkness
Is a fear as worse as death
Empty fears faded with the light
As the darkness claimed my eyes
I cannot see like I once did
But none the less
I can still see
I can feel the warmth of summers sun
And the ice breath of winters wrath
I can see the truth in ones voice
And I can see the love in ones soul
True I have lost my sight
My connection to the world of light
But I have gained something more---
The ability to see the world in reality
Rather than in a light warped by darkness
