“FIND HER! WHERE DID SHE GO?!” I could feel my heart beat from within my chest as I ran towards freedom.
“A-almost there!” I called out airily as I proceeded to make it towards the large sign of the hotel we were staying at.
“I THINK I’VE FOUND HER! CORNER HER BOYS!” I looked behind me to see a large group of guards, at least ten of them.
Protect me my ass, these fools just wanted their pay.
“GAH!” I felt my body suddenly collide with the cold, icy, ground. I crawled my way o
Heir Loki x Baby readerThe night air was crisp as Loki casually strolled through some Midgardian woods. The full moon illuminated the bare trees and the snow covered ground, creating a very beautiful scenery; but there was one sound that shattered the sought after serenity, a baby’s wail- high pitched and annoying. Loki went on so deep in thought he remained oblivious to the wails that grew louder and louder. In fact he wasn’t pulled out of his mind until the source of the screaming was directly in front of him.Heir Loki x Baby reader4 days ago in Short Stories More Like This
“Silence you mewling quim!” Loki bellowed as he glared at the child that could be no older than a year old. You quieted immediately and all tears in your (e/c) eyes seemingly dried up. Blood glistened in the moonlight against your (s/c) skin and led Loki to notice you were clad only in a diaper in freezing weather; a feat only capable by Frost Giants and Fire Fae as far as he knew.
“Where is your mother?”

Wind whipped all around Loki as he fell from the Bifrost. Darkness surrounded him and if it wasn’t for the fact he was blinking his eyes he would’ve never known they were open at all.
‘I’ll never be as good as Thor’ Was his last thought before he gave into the darkness completely.
“Who is he?” A female voice penetrated his mind and pulled him from his sleep.
“I am Loki of Asgard.” He piped in while the two Chitauri females before him jumped back at his sudden interruption.
“Our King would like to meet you.” They stated in unison after they recovered from their mild case of shock. Loki swung his legs over the side of the bed and followed the pair through large golden hallways until they stopped in front of gigantic double doors. They said nothing as they stepped to the side and motioned for him to go in.
“Loki of Asgard wel

The snow settled on the ground peacefully. It was Christmas Eve and everything was perfect.
Well, almost everything. The fact was, a Finnish man and his (nationality) girlfriend were arguing over the issue of Christmas again.
“Why are you never here?” you screeched at him, “I go to celebrate with you every year just to have you gone all night! Do you know how frustrating that is?”
Your (h/c) was damp from the shower you just had. Upon getting out, you saw your loving boyfriend getting ready to leave like he always did this time of year. It had seemed even worse ever since you had moved in with him or perhaps you just noticed more now.
“Listen (Name)...” he pleaded, “I can’t tell you just yet. It hurts me to keep it away from you but it will come in time.”
“NO! I’m sick of you leaving every Christmas Eve! We may as well break up if you can’t tell me!”
Tino sighed gently, “Tomorrow. I&

"Do I really have to wear this?" Keith complained to his mom as he straightened his tie.
She smiled at him as she dusted his shoulder, "Of course, sweetie! Why wouldn't you when you look so dashing?"
"Mooom!" Keith pouted.
"Oh, don't be so stubborn, dear, you look handsome."
"Yea, Keith, at least you're not wearing this." His sister, Lily, gestured to the uniform dress she was wearing, "It's cold out and I still have to wear a skirt; at least you get some fashionable pants. All I get is this plaid nightmare."
"Come now, you two, grab your lunches and head to school."
Lily was over exaggerating about how cold it actually was. Sure, it was the beginning of fall, but the weather was still relatively warm. She was constantly rubbing her arms to keep warm, expecting Keith to hand her his jacket. After several attempts, she figured she may as well 'endure the cold' all the way to school.
"This is stupid; I don't want to go to school like this." Lily pointed at

Ray: Alright, the combatants are set. Let’s settle this debate once and for all.
Steel: It’s time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!
All was calm as a massive galleon cruised across the ocean's surface, its lion-head bowsprit and straw-hat wearing Jolly Roger noticeable anywhere. From its deck, one could hear merry music from a fiddle, and the members of the crew either singing or dancing along to it.
Joining them in the festivities was the captain of this ship known to all as "Thousand Sunny". That captain was none other than the famed Straw-Hat Luffy.
The song came to an end and the skeletal fiddler took a bow, his art complete. If he had a proper face, he would have smiled at the cheers.
“WOW!” Luffy said with a broad smile, “Play it again!”
Yet as the crew celebrated, a simple-looking steamboat was coming across their path up ahead. At first, the crew paid no mind to it. That all changed because, just when the skeleton was about to draw his bow across the
For What It's Worth [Daryl x Reader] Ch.6Your muscles clenched; your heart froze mid-heartbeat; and your breath choked in your airway as the deafening sound of a gunshot exploded into your ears. Your brain only had enough time to process the scream of a Walker before it went completely blank with shock; your ears were only able to register that sound at a muffled, almost unintelligible volume before they lost the ability to hear anything but a painful ring. Your eyes went wide, wider than fear had pried them before, but the blindfold rendered them as useless as your ears. But you were alive.
You were alive.
And that could be fixed. Easily.
With nothing but sheer panic at that realization to drive you and nothing but a nature cultivated to survival to guide you, your body shot into motion before your mind abandoned its shock. You weren't thinking about whether or not the men would see you. You weren't thinking about whether or not your actions were futile. You weren't thinking at all. Your bod

“It really is very kind of you to have me staying for Christmas this year, Karen – with your father passing on this year, I didn’t want to be alone.”
Karen smiled as she pulled up outside her flat, and turned off the engine of her Skoda Octavia. “It’s my pleasure Mum – the last thing either of us needs is a Christmas where we feel sad. Come on – I’ll show you the new flat.”
Karen smiled as her mother got out of the car. For a woman in her sixties, she still looked remarkably good, her greying hair cut into a short bob as she walked over the cobbles and onto the pavement. Gail was wearing a black leather jacket, v-necked jumper and a grey blouse with a frilled front, dark trousers and short black boots.
As for Karen, she was wearing a black military style jacket over a dark round necked top, grey pants and knee length brown boots, the legs of her pants covered by the tan leather.

The shoppers were looking with mild interest at the cosmetic stand in the department store, one of many on the shop floor. The two assistants were wearing grey dresses with capped sleeves and a thin black belt around their waists, and knee length black leather boots, while red scarves were tied around their necks.
“So what sort of style are we talking about here?”
The two women looked at the tall, good looking dark skinned woman standing in front of the counter. She must have been at least six foot tall, and had the body of a model, the black sheath dress fitting her like a glove. The sides were sparkled, and the material ruffed, while she was also wearing a pair of over the knee black suede boots with a three inch heel and a black leather jacket.
“Take a seat madame,” the first woman said, “and tell us your name.”
“Janice,” she said as she sat do

On the crags of the frozen Himalayan mountains live scattered mongol families, their yellow yurts dotting the mountainsides like scoops of vanilla ice cream. Some prefer to live in the valleys, as the terrain makes it easier to raise goats. And some avoid the heights altogether out of fear of the legendary Ice-Man, who is said to terrorize and haunt those who dare to live there.
One of those families who braved the heights was the Li family. Both parents were God-fearing persons who had been touched by the Bible's message of a messiah, who would one day restore planet earth to paradise, and were unafraid of the foolish legends of Ice-men. In addition, they felt that the higher grounds somehow brought them closer to God. The clear, starlit nights with full-moon views were unobstructed by the lights of cities. Many a night they would gaze up at the heavens with their small children, and praise the one who made these things.
Now, one of the Li children

Patchstar was escorted quickly into the empty Medicine Cat den, the dark gray tom looking at her with worried eyes. "What's wrong, Patchstar?" he asked, obviously concerned.
Patchstar flicked her tail to tell the tom to calm down. "Relax. I was just in the forest and I believe StarClan is trying to tell me something. I think you should take a trip to the Moon Tree tonight. I can have Quietbrook and Swanstep help out around camp if I need them to."
"Okay." Breezepaw mewed, and began gathering herbs. "Do I need to take a warrior with me?"
"Sure, who do you want?" Patchstar mewed. The medicine cat didn't hesitate.
"Spiceshadow, or Jadesnow."
Soon, the two toms were on their way. Spiceshadow laughed happily with his foster brother, telling stories of his apprenticeship and embellishing the size of his catches. Breezepaw enjoyed the warrior's company, remembering when they were younger. They talked more frequently then.
The two toms reached th

The front doors to the supermarket slid open as Cass inched into the building. Immediately pulling out her list to find what items she needed for her apartment. She has always been a sheltered type, avoiding any public interaction. She has never had the nerves to go out by herself and enjoy herself. Ever since her childhood, she never wanted to draw unwanted attention. This attitude has persisted into her adult life and she hated it. She wanted to be carefree and enjoy herself.
“Excuse me ma’am, but may I offer you a free sample of our new teriyaki steak bites?” A store clerk reached out a sample of the meat and offered it to Cass. Her nerves were getting the best of her but she grabbed the steak piece and popped it into her mouth. The flavors just exploded on her taste buds. The meat was sweet, spicy, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Cass’s eyes lit up the store clerk beamed a smile towards her. “Where do I buy more of these, please?” C

It took nearly ten minutes, but everyone got up and was able to remain conscious in the stench, even though they clearly weren’t enjoying themselves. Once they were up, she led them into the next part of the house, where the smells hit even worse, except this time no one fainted; they just covered their noses as much as possible. It was a start.
They were in the living room, where several of the PU Piggies had clearly been not long ago. There was a ratty couch covered with food, sweat, vaginal fluid and semen stains, piles of putrid dirty clothes packed up against the wall. On the table were piles of dirty dishes and rotting food.
“This is the co
