The day drifted along quickly and once the next morning came around, Marina and the boys spent the whole day with the daughters of Triton getting to know all of them better. Although Ariel spent most of her times on her own daydream, singing to herself, and swimming in circles like she was dancing, the sisters went on telling the gang all of their interests and hobbies.
As Marina did well in keeping her secret of really being a human with a disguise of a mermaid, the mer-sisters
Mouse in the House: Chapter 1Corin shook nervously as he scampered through the crack in the wall. Corin was coverd in messy, grey fur. He had a mess of brown hear on his head, and big, golden eyes. A belt with tiny, makeshift tools was wrapped around his waist. He pushed a wheeled, wooden board ahead of himself, upon which sat a little rope. The rope was made from fishing wile, while the wheels were made of beads. Corin was followed by his brother Howey, who ran alongside him. They were followed by a few more of their fellow scavengers.Mouse in the House: Chapter 110 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"Remember the plan." Howey said. "We sneak into the kitchen, grap some food, put it in the tray, and rush out.
"I know, I know." Corin protested, scratching his big fluffy ear. "I heard you the first time."
Corin and his friends were a race known as Neeras. They were part human, and part mouse. But mostly mouse. They lived in a world of giant, talking animals. Neeras, unfortunately, weren't giants; they were about as small as a giant's toe. Sometimes even SMALLER. That meant they h

A guard grunted as he saw a female Lamborghini approaching him with a seductive grin on her front. Her green eyes stood out against her silvery grey body, and her rose tattoo really stood out in the light from the sun. “Well, hello~!” She sang in a low tone. She batted her eyes at the guard and he gulped. Boy, was she hot! She giggled before she began to play with his tire. “Is this the place were racers hang out?”
The purr in her voice made the guard laugh stupidly. “Yeah…it is…” He said as he gazed at her sleek body with a primal urge.
“Well, could you show me where the big race-head is? I want to have some…alone…time with him…” The female purred softly as the guard called for the car who was the best in the business.
“Hey, Chick! We have a female here looking to do someone!” The guard called as the green stock car came out of a certain room. The female

I find that I can't remember my past. I don't know how I got like this. How I became this violent and merciless serial killer. I fear that I am losing my memory. In order to make sure that I don't forget anything else, I've opted to start a journal chronicling my exploits.
I've started using household poisons to kill people. While its fun to watch people freak out as bleach and ammonia form mustard gas in their veins, it's real tricky to keep the needle from breaking. I'll try to find something better.
I found an old hand sickle and a folding scythe in some schmucks tool shed. I then proceeded to kill him in his sleep with them. I hooked the sickle on his rib-cage through his collar bone. Yeah... it was messy...
The folding scythe broke. It would seem that cutting a man in half is a bit tougher than I expected. The sickle keeps getting stuck on things, I might have to ditch it soon.
I've been following some guy for about a week now. I'm pretty su
Chance Encounters Cpt. 4Tea had never really been TJ’s thing, so he hadn’t been sure if he’d like the drink or not after what Kicks had said about the flavor. He’d only really ordered it because it was obvious that Kicks really wanted him to try it for whatever reason. As it turned out, the Spiced Mocha was amazingly good. TJ was surprised by how much he liked it. It was a battle to keep his face as neutral as possible. “Wow. You were right! This is really good. Thank you.” TJ took another sip before setting the cup back down on the table and pulling out his wallet. “How much do I owe you?” He asked.Chance Encounters Cpt. 414 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
At the praise Kicks practically glowed, beaming with happiness that TJ liked his creation. At the question of money he waved the issue away, saying, “No, this one’s my treat. Since you didn’t have a chance to drink your coffee yesterday.” Really he just wanted to be nice; doing favors for people was a favorite pastime of his. He had learned e
KMM Ch. 34: Placement Kat's eyes fluttered open and she gasped for breathe. She pressed the palms of her hands to her eyes and waited for her breathing to return to normal. Her dreams had started off as nothing, slowly easing into a simple and sweet dream before turning into a complete nightmare where the last thing that had happened involved the air being sucked from her lungs the harder she ran.KMM Ch. 34: Placement15 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Still dazed from the dream, Kat uncovered her eyes to look around the infirmary. For some reason it looked a little off. She couldn't figure out what it was that was different, but she was relieved to see a woman at her desk.
"Nurse Yuka?" Kat rubbed her forehead and sat up just as the woman turned in her chair to reveal someone else.
"Oh, Miss Yukiyo! You're awake!" The woman walked over towards Kat, "try not to overdo it, okay? That wound on your back reopened while you were out

He expected it to be colder at six in the morning but it was biting at him a little more than he was expecting; he’d decided his winter coat was unnecessary. He’d been awake since four; his friend Sara had called him. She was up by 3am every morning to help with opening her bakery and she knew that TJ had been getting up early on this trip.
It had been good to talk to her. She knew him better than anyone. And while he hadn’t told her why he had taken this impromptu roadtrip around the country, she had as good as guessed.
“I don’t even know what I’ve been looking for, Sara! I feel like I’ve wasted a month of my life!”
“Well maybe that’s the problem. It’s
+Anima- Rue's story prologue/bioRue and Dan were going hunting. Currently, they were walking up to a ledge that they always hunted on. Both of them drew their bows and silently stalked up the ledge. They'd always have good luck up there, they were able to get food for their mom. Her mom was very depressed and didn't like to leave her room often. As soon as they got to the top of the hill, a man in a mask jumped out of the tree line and stabbed Dan. Dan screamed and fell down, his hand clutching his chest. Then masked man shoved Dan and Rue off the cliff. As Rue fell down, she spotted a flock of Northern Cardinals. I wish I could fly, Rue thought to herself. Then I could help Dan and be useful. Suddenly, wings sprouted from her back and claws from her feet. She flew down to grab Dan and gently set him down on the ground. Dan looked up at Rue and for a moment, shock filled his eyes. "H-how?" Dan asked weakly. "I don't know but I'm going to take you h+Anima- Rue's story prologue/bio15 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Thor remembered when things started to turn south for them.
Thor turned thirteen and would rather be with his friends than with his little brother. Then Loki had tried to save him and out of that, Loki's eldest was born and Thor had helped take the child away by holding his brother down.
Thor grabbed his brother and pulled him into a hug.
"I'm sorry Brother. For every wrong that I have done to you." Thor let the man go.
Loki remembered that Natasha was still there and spoke in Norse rather than English.
Natasha looked at the gods for a moment then kept walking. She didn’t know what Loki had said, but judging by the look on Thor’s face, it was something good. The assassin walked over to Fury, hoping for some news.

Even though the shortcut was rather... atmospheric, it was a good one, so we were all up for going through it again the next day. In fact, we used it every day for the rest of the week, both to and from work.
Though we listened out for it, none of us heard the tolling of the bell again. The sights and sounds beyond the park were still rather obscure and there were never any other pedestrians walking around, or at least not when we were there. But we got used to all of this strangeness, until we found ourselves ambling through the place and regarding it as "our" shortcut, or even "our" park.
Once or twice, we took a closer look at the old building, peering through the windows for signs of activity (which were so thick with dirt, inside and out, that all we could see were germs breeding) and knocking on the door for some kind of answer. But we got nothing, and still couldn't decide what
Story IdeaIt only takes a second to die. People see all the time leading up to death as dying, but dying is really that one crystallizing moment when you know it's over. Really dying is when hope leaves, which is why I think the "lights leave your eyes" expression is so accurate. I don't personally have a fondness for death, but you'll never forget seeing the second when a person becomes nonexistent. It's not kind and gentle. It's a struggle. All the movies and books talk about how they fade away, their grip slackens, and their eyes close. That's a lie. They fight to the last bitter moment, and if you are so unfortunate as to see someone die, you'll know they don't close their eyes: when life is choked out of their bodies, it takes a few moments after to fade from their eyes. For the one who witnesses it, that moment is forever burned into your mind. And they just keep staring. Those eyes will haunt your dreams.Story Idea2 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
That's my experience. Maybe death can be a gentle embrace for some. But for me, I ca

They were the unspoken heroes of this world of ignorant idiots and false securities. They truly didn't belong here. They never did.
Yet, they stayed to protect, to guard humanity from the unspoken horrors that lurk beneath the surface that they can only see. To keep those morons safe from the deadly imperfections and unknown dangers of the world.
And, to add the cherry to the sundae topped with whipped cream, they were only children when they first knew. They were born for this sole purpose, to keep their abnormalities a secret and to protect those who pry into business they should keep their dirty noses out of. These children were born into this knowledge, into the disgusting truth of this world.
Who exactly were these children, you ask?
To you, they were the freaks, the kids who didn't fit in, the kids who never would fit in.
To themselves and their associates, they were the misfits of a Fool's Paradise.
They were the misfits of this paradise.
Chance Encounters Cpt. 2The first thing TJ was aware of was that his neck really hurt. The next thing was that he was laying down on something very squishy. He groaned and stretched, blinking his eyes open.Chance Encounters Cpt. 215 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Suddenly he sat up, wide awake. Right. He had stopped to get coffee and he must have fallen asleep. He looked down. Stuck to his shirt was a piece of paper reading “DO NOT DISTURB”. TJ shook his head and crumpled up the paper.
He looked around the room. The light from the windows had disappeared, as had all of the people in the coffee shop. Well, almost everyone. The kid with the blue hair was wiping down one of the tables across the room.
TJ stood up. His head swam and he stumbled a bit, falling unceremoniously back down on the couch. He groaned.
A groan struck through the silence of the almost-closed-for-the-night coffee shop, and Kicks looked up from his cleaning in time to see the nap guy stand up and abruptly fall back down again. “Morning sleepyhead,” he greeted him, all but l

“Come on Kureno you need to tell me...” Keyoko pounced next to her life long friend and clung to his arm.
“No Keyoko, now come on let finish this homework up. I’m getting tired. I still need to finish up the science project also.” Kureno groaned loudly as he felt her scoot closer to his side once Jay joined them at the coffee table. ‘This is really becoming troublesome’ he thought as he finished the third word problem on the last page. “Here Keyoko, finish up the last questions. There not word problems so don’t worry about that,” He pushed the paper toward her then turned to Jay, “Alright, now how much did you get done on your own?”
“Well... I was able to get the research and data done so all we would need to do is get the display up and all that. Here I grabbed the supplies we would need.” He pulled his duffle bag open and looked for the supplies.
The boys continued to work on their science p

Ren turned his golden furred head to look at his grumpy sister. "Mother told me to find a large clearing near a stream around here."
Akane rolled her eyes. "You mean to tell me that you brought me out here in the middle of the night because our dead mother told you to go on a wild goose chase in a dream you had?!"
"Oh come on, Aka. She wanted us to come here for a reason."
"I swear you're stupid in the head."
The two shifter siblings walked through the pitch black forest, using their senses to find the stream. After a few minutes-which felt like hours to Akane- they found the mysterious clearing that Ren saw in his dream. It was quiet and peaceful and the gentle breeze made ripples in the long grass. Ren searched hopefully for a glimpse of his mother while Akane glared at him.
"See? Nothing. Just one of your crazy visions again."
Just as Akane turned to leave, a thick fog fell over the cle

Gérard came by at 12:15 and knocked at the closed door gently. Envie peeked through to make sure it was him before unlocking all the locks and letting him in.
“I have to show you my new goodies!” She said excitedly.
“Mais, what has you so excited?”
“Bonjour!” cawed Gaston.
“Bonjour to you Gaston” Said Gérard to the crow.
Gato wove around his every step. “Merh” she said.
“Okay Gato, I see you too, pretty girl.” He reached down to scratch her head.
“They seem as excited as you. Or did they have coffee too?” Gérard joked.
“Lukas took me to his mill again and….” She dragged him to the apartment and showed him the tall stacks of squares.
“Wow, there must be 70 of those little squares of fabric.” He said.
“100 actually.” She confirmed.
Who listens? Part twoAs opposed to promised butterflies, there was just a great deal of wind on the walk - this troubled both my mother and the foster sister who clung to me, fearing the worst. There were also cows (which worried the foster sister, yet again) and flies on the cow pats. As poo goes though, this kind bothers me least.Who listens? The destination of this irksome walk was a tedious tourist location with arcades and rides and the mindless masses who come on those coaches. The foster sister had her face painted, though I'm not sure if it's a clown or a princess. It's smudged now, anyhow.
With a lack of better judgement, mother left me in charge of both the dog and the foster sister whilst she 'wrung out her bladder'. The dog is another Lena replacement, it's called Alana which reminds me only of that fat family Mum sometimes watches.
I was not up for the job, because I was discussing plots with Hasani. Hasani is my character, if you were wondering, originally an Egyptian, now an immortal time traveller. He

It had been a good few months, 6 in fact, since Dante North had come back to what remained of BlueBlood Imprezas’ only to find it had been taken over by the original founders grand-daughter, Sparrow Piper. He hadn’t wanted to beg his way back, but had been surprised when Sparrow had shown him the exact extent of what she’d done, including bring back the racing section. She’d actually gone and split the stables, yet kept them whole, and added a new section for those not quite so natural creatures that roamed their planet.
In that time, Sparrow had introduced him to Amy Darell, the woman who ran the Eventing side of Black Stag Estates, and she had welcomed him with open arms, and the horses and staff he’d brought with him. Over ten horses and two more staff members and even an addition to their racing yard; Dante was certainly a face that was welcomed within the ranks.
Out of their many horses, Dante gave most of them to the stables, to be ridden

Divided I Stand - Chapter 8
I jolted awake to some distant yelling. The shuttle was completely devoid of movement; everyone was probably still asleep. Shawn had suggested that we all wait and get some sleep before the infiltration, despite all of my pleas to the contrary. Slipping in my contacts and sliding on my inactive ring, I slid off of the semi-comfortable bunk and looked out the heavily tinted window. It was still light outside, so to help everyone sleep, he had adjusted the tint on the windows to make it darker inside.
I opened the door and poked my head outside to look in the direction of the screaming, which was slightly louder. I could now make out some loud snarling and barking mixed in with the cacophony Looking around was slightly disorienting due to the open shuttle entrance appearing as a hole in midair. I looked in the direction of the nois
