I watched them with a strained smile as my mother and her equally blonde cousin turned to look at me.
“Oh. It’s you” Aunt Paula said as she glared at me with her chocolate brown eyes. She turned to my mother with a pointed look “What? You couldn’t teach him to knock?”
She only rolled her eyes and let out a relaxed laugh “Well, you never did.” She shrugged, proving a point to the other woman “Thank you for coming Paula” She nodded politely
“It’s been a pleasure Ariel. You are family after all” Paula smiled, adding on the last part with a sarcastic chirp “I’ll be taking my leave now. I trust you’ll keep an eye on chubs too.” She finished rudely as she strode past me, giving me a detached pat on the head before walking out the door without a second glance.
She doesn’t exactly like me very much.
“Hello sweets” Mom greeted, as I walked over to her. She pulled my into a hug
A reawakening (14)I watched my eyes turn white and my body began floating off of the ground. My eyes then turned completely black and they shot black light out of my sockets. My body looked at Pyramid head and he floated off of the ground, and up to me. I watched as I opened a hole in the sky. Nothing moved but him. He moved towards the hole, and when he got within a foot of it, his feet began being torn to shreds until he was a long string of blood and entrails.A reawakening (14)10 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“What the actual fuck.” I heard a woman say. I looked down to see Clara, holding a bloody knife near my sister, who was now bleeding out of her side. All the anger I had was now directed at her. I got back into my body and focused on her. “NO RUN CLARA RUN!” I heard George screaming. “There is nowhere to run! Her fate is determined! NOW SHE MUST DIE!” I paralyzed George and reached towards the Pyramid head’s weapon, which soared to me, and then I brought her to me. I swiftly chopped off her arms a

Book 1: Epic Expedition
Part 1: The Gathering
Our heroes reside in a small, hidden community of Saffron Hills; one of the three communities that form Trinity Valley. Here in this small, peaceful community is where our heroes are free to relax and cause mischief on a somewhat regular basis. The mayor of this community, Jacob Marlowe, is suspicious of their activity and keeps a sharp eye on them. Talk about a nosy mayor, but whatever.
Our story begins with our heroes’ usual hangout, the abandoned warehouse. Back in the early 1900s, this warehouse was used to produce parts for commercial and combat aircraft. This warehouse went out of business somewhere in the 1960s, and no one has touched it ever since. However, a certain Greek deity found use for this location for our heroes by using remaining parts to build a secret headquarters for them. Our heroes are in for a surprise…
The next day, our heroe

"This is your room," Crystal announced as she opened the door for us.
To be honest I wasn't expecting the rooms to be spectacular or nothing. Two queen size beds sat parallel to each other separated by a night stand. An old fashion oak wood desk was placed next to window having two small pouches sitting on top. Two large closets, one on each side of the room and an eighteen by twenty four flat screen TV mounted on the wall with a shelf below that had for the remote and clock. The whole room itself felt dull and lifeless but we can fix that.
"Your belongings are in there, in your closets: your clothing, accessories, games, toiletries, and anything that is a necessity. Your room keys to lock the door are in those pouches over there." She gasped looking at the time. "Excuse me but I have to be on my way now. I'll explain to you tomorrow at three about the S.A. Hunt at the entrance of the forest so don't be late." She apologized and closed the door.

“New beginnings are often disguised as painful endings.”
Chapter 3: If First Impressions Are Everything, We're Screwed
I blinked as I looked around me. I wasn't at the bottom of my house or surrounded by Apollo kids who'd been healing me from that fall. Actually I was standing in about ankle deep water, the gentle waves of the ocean lapping back and forth in a steady current. "Where am I?" I asked out loud, taking in the sight of the cliffs that were behind me and the empty ocean ahead.
Just where did my grandmother send me?
Suddenly I heard an odd sound, like breaking glass and a scream coming from somewhere around me. "Hello?" The scream was getting closer but I couldn't see anything...wait.
Just as I used my brain and looked up I was slammed with something hard-somebody as they fell onto me, sending the both of us sprawling into the water. I yelped, and rolled away in the water, my head throbbing as I took in a g

I woke up to the sound of squeaking and mumbling, I turned over in my bed to see Bardroy and Mey-Rin crouched down staring at something near the wall, I let out a huff and got up from my warm bed, the cold riding up from under my blue, floral print nightgown. I stared at them for a moment before walking over slowly and quietly to lay on the ground with them.
“What are you guys doing?” I whispered.
The two servants jumped at the sound of my voice.
“WAAAHHhhhh!” Mey-Rin squalled, only to relax when she realized it was me, “Don't do that again Raven! You scared me to death yes you did!”
I giggled, “Sorry but I couldn't help but wonder what you guys were doing, it was pretty peculiar,”
I then saw a dark figure's shadow from behind, I gulped to turn around and look straight into the eyes of Sebastian.
“Holy hell!” I screamed, Sebastian just smiled.
“Good morning Milady,”
I blushed in embarrassment towards my c

However, as he continued running through the woods, ducking and weaving through the trees, vaulting over fallen branches and leaping over tree roots that grabbed at his ankles, he couldn't get his mind to think past the fear and the immediate danger he was in. Every time he tried, the shouting in the rough, harsh-sounding language known as Gisken cut through his concentration and sent his mind spiraling back into the grasp of fear.
Milo looked behind him. The fog blurred all the shapes into black, formless silhouettes. The only signs of the Giskens were the sound of their feet thudding against the ground as they chased him and their shouts.
The next thing he knew, a root snatched his foot.
He tripped and fell onto his stomach. Even before he looked at his foot, he knew it would be twisted in a way it wasn't meant to be twisted.
As the voices and the thuds got closer and closer

Link often wandered the Lost Woods. Its secrets and surprises always intrigued him. He always discovered a new grotto or path, some of which came to dead ends, others somehow led him back to his original trail, and some were blocked off. His friend Saria joked that Link knew the Lost Woods better than any other Kokiri, being able to find his way back to their village in less than a day. Link only smiled at this, as unlike the Kokiri children, who liked to play and purposely get lost in the woods, he wandered them to try and escape his confusing life.
Link had lived in Kokiri Village for as long as he could remember, but he knew he wasn’t one of the child-like natives. Kokiri children never grew older pas

Tecya readjusted her boots after emptying it of sand. “I can’t… I can’t believe it…” she said to herself after putting on her second boot. “This has to be a trick… there’s no other possibility…”
The maelstrom of tangled memories that roared through her visions had begun to settle, leaving images too distorted to be true. In some memories, she was the young girl the Kalifah spoke about; in others, a dancer with the palest skin she had ever seen. Yet, what worried her most was one vision when one became the other.
It was still vivid in her mind, even as she walked away from the Saberbian walls as the clouded night sky hovered above. She could see the pale-skinned dancer wait for a woman to awake from her slumber – a black-haired woman she began to remember from other visions – and a momentary conversation before the awaiting woman became the child through
The Secret of Penhollow Grove (Chapter one)Saffy looked out of the window, and sighed deeply. She was on a train, travelling the 190-or-so miles that would take her to her new home. Saffy had been born in London to a loving mother and father. She knew that her family wasn't exactly normal, though it had taken her until she was six and studying family trees at school to find that out. No matter how many times she asked her parents about their own parents and their home towns, she would get the same vague answers over and over again.
Then, when she was ten, her father went missing. They had been visiting the white cliffs of Dover one fine summer day, and as they were preparing to leave, he leaned down and whispered something into her mother's ear, something that she couldn't hear. Her mother had told her once they had gotten on the train that he had met up with an old friend from school, and that he would be spending another few

Soul Eater XL: The Final Soul, Part IA subtle chill fell silently on the cobblestone streets of Ciudad Morboso that night. It was fairly late, with the perpetually crescent moon casting its gaze down on the earth with almost face-like surface features. Lights in homes and apartments were shut off, and most restaurants had closed for the night, as well. Even the massive academy that towered above the town was absolutely silent. It seemed as though not a single soul moved about.Soul Eater XL: The Final Soul, Part I18 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
That is to say…no innocent soul.
The desert of Nevada was brutally scorching during the day, and frigidly unforgiving by night. One woman, walking silently and just hoping to get home before the temperatures began to drop, was about to discover just how unforgiving.
She walked elegantly, one foot in front of the other. Her soft tread barely made a sound equivalent to a pin dropping. But it was enough to alert an evil soul to a good meal.
The woman heard a scrape behind her, like a piece of rusted metal dragging heavily across a stone s
Falco's Reign - Part 45Maud was sitting at her breakfast table, enjoying a piece of bread, covered in butter and honey. Her twelve year old son and seven year old daughter were present as well. She liked having breakfast with her kids. It wasn’t like she could spend a lot of quality time alone with her children, so she was feeling quite annoyed when suddenly, her chamberlain charged into the room, after a short knock on the door.Falco's Reign - Part 4519 hours ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
“Excuse me for interrupting your breakfast, milady, but we received an urgent message! From one of our agents in Vestfjor!”
He handed her a piece of paper. Maud carefully wiped her hands on a napkin before she took it from him.
“Mm, from Moira,” she said, swallowing down the last piece of honey covered bread. “A good agent, but also a naughty one,” she continued with a wink towards her son. “She works for more than one master, although she thinks I don’t know. Let’s see what she has to say …”

Layla crawled into a tree, wiping her nose. 'Damn it, Layla,' she growled to herself. 'What the hell were you thinking? That somehow you'd get to Shift?" She scratched the bark behind her to ribbons in an attempt to hold back tears of disappointment. "Idiot. You're a fucking half-breed! It wouldn't be natural... even if you could..."
"Layla?" The half-breed heard Lucretia's voice drift through the trees.
She sniffed and curled back into her branch. The last person she wanted to see right now was Lucretia, but... 'It's not her fault you put all your faith into this, you moron," Layla told herself. 'That's no one's fault but your own.' She leaned forward again and tried to call to her friend. "L-Luke?"
"Layla!" Lucretia called again. "Where are you?"
"H-here. In the tree..."
Lucretia stopped below the branch Layla was perched on and looked up. "What... what are you doing up there?"
Layla glared down at her, although her anger really wasn't directed at the other Cat. "What do you think?"

(Author) Hello everyone this is my version of the game Journey. It'll mostly be the same, but with some rules have been beant to make the story deeper, and more concerning at parts. Not enough to break it, but enough that everything still fits. Hope you enjoy. Also this story features flashback moments. To add another layer of depth. All cahpters will be divided into two segments. The present, and the flashback. That being said, they will all be short chapters. Still I hope you enjoy my take on this beautiful game.

Spirit Seekers 1 Chapter XIIHolly couldn’t take her eyes off Asna’s barrier crystal. Rune had heard the guard whispering about the exploded crystal in Se’ir. Rumors that demon-hunters had built a bomb inside the crystal could be heard everywhere. Holly had seen the countries before the new time count, and she always thought that it was beautiful to have borders that weren’t completely decided by humanity. Up here in Asna, or just any other continent created after the new time count, the land was round, separated in 2 to 4 countries, each having the exact same size.
Sometimes Holly wished the old books weren’t contaminated. Ever since she first asked to

Jake’s usual turbulence of Sasha fuelled dreams took an inexplicable turn in the later hours of the night. The normal backdrop of quirky townhouses, towering castles and stretches of bright, glistening fields faded out, replaced by huge walls of white. They sprung up from the cobbled streets he was larking about in, t
