Chronicle of a Past WinterThere has been only a few moments in my life where I have truly felt alive. The following bit of writing is a small chronicle detailing one of those events:Chronicle of a Past Winter3 minutes ago in Stories & Vignettes More Like This
Four years ago this December, I was a very different person than the person who sits here writing this today. I was 16 and a junior at a local high school. I was skinny as a twig after lots of weight in during the previous year.
The year had been up and down. I had fallen in and out of love with a girl who was more confusing than a rubik's cube. A month after our break up, I lost my grandpa. He had always been an inspiration to me and he had always shown me how powerful knowledge really can be. I want to be the kind of man he was and I will never forget the impact he had on my life. Somehow in all of it I managed to stay sane and grind my way through day-by-day and month-by-month.
The first four months of school flew by fast. My Chinese improved rapidly as I took up as a teacher's assistant with my Chinese teacher. I was att

“Surely you don’t believe such an act is possible, Mrs. Sainsbury,” Brittany said bluntly. “A magical mask? A zombie army here in Blackpine? And what purpose would such an army serve?” Brittany took a seat on the porch swing, setting herself directly in the widow’s view.
“Skeptic.” Mrs. Sainsbury scoffed. “It is people like you that are blind and allow evils to exist recklessly in this world.”
“Skeptics or realists?”
Elizabeth gave Brittany a warning look. “We didn’t come here to upset you, Mrs. Sainsbury—”
“Well, you have!”
“I apologize.” Brittany looked away into the woods at the edge of the yard. “You said you couldn’t translate the inscription. Perhaps you wrote it down or have pictures of the mask?”
“Of course I do.”

An Absence of AliensAndrew Jenkins drew himself up, crossing his arms across his chest. “I saw no alien,” he professed for the tenth time that night. An Absence of Aliens4 minutes ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
The policewoman regarded him with much the same careful expression a person might wear when inspecting a carton of milk for signs of spoilage. She opened her mouth, closed it again, and sighed.
“Mr. Jenkins –” she began.
“This is ridiculous,” said Mr. Jenkins, barely concealing an impatient glance at his wrist. “Listen, I'm running very late, and the people waiting for me are far more important than you are. I see no reason to listen to this hogwash any longer.”
“Mr. Jenkins! I must ask –” The policewoman's voice started out sharp, but suddenly trailed off into uncertainty as she, too, glanced at her witness' wrist. “Er,” she said. “I don't suppose you can explain that?”
“That... thing on your wrist.”
It was a fluores
As 'Tis the Custom Long, long ago in a land far, far away, a knight rode bravely through a dark, dark wood. His armour was strong, and his sword was true, and so when he met a terrible ogre upon the road, he did not hesitate to step down from his horse and prepare to do battle with the evil creature. As 'Tis the Custom4 minutes ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
“Hark, yon beast!” he said, levelling his sword at the creature. “I prithee, face my blade in honoured battle. Though thou be but a base monster, you must know this would be better than to turn away, and be run down in ignoble flight.”
“Sorry,” said the ogre, “I didn’t catch any of that.”
“Dost thine low intellect wrestle with my noble tongue? Then plain let me be. I challenge you to single combat, as ‘tis the custom ‘twixt knight and villain.” He made a flourish with his sword for good measure.

Silver the hedgehog x reader part 2You, Silver and Blaze had been walking for a while trying to avoid any danger, neither of you had said anything for a while since joining them because you still felt guilty after what happened to your family. 'Its all my fault..' You thought. 'I cause their deaths but Blaze and Silver saved me, so I guess I should stay with them since I owe them a lot now.' While being lost deep in thought, you didn't notice that Silver and Blaze had stopped and bumped into them, tripping you over and making you fall onto Silver. "Whoa!" You both yelled. "(Name) now is not the time to daydream." Blaze said while helping you up. "Sorry." You said feeling more guilty now. You heard Silver groan a little and helped him up.Silver the hedgehog x reader part 25 minutes ago in Short Stories More Like This

How could he have gotten it so hopelessly wrong? Go to the store, find the freezer section, and bring back ice-cream. It didn’t matter the flavor or color. All she wanted was some ice-cream. So why was it so difficult?
Derius snarled at the rows and rows of boxes. Sure, the flavor didn’t matter but there were so many brands and each one claimed it was the best. Then there were the different size tubs. Eloa was a small woman. A tub that fit in the palm of his hand looked proper for her. His eyes darted up to what he guessed were the normal size tubs. Those wouldn’t be done after four spoons full.
A brunette cut into his vision murmuring an, “Excuse me.”
Lifting his chin, he glared down at her. “I didn’t.” His gaze hardened as he watched her pick her preferred ice-cream and put the tub in her arm basket. Humans had grown impudent over the years. They didn’t know basic etiquette.
It was one more thing he’d

Oh god no..... she is coming to OUR town??????? Nicole wasnt exactly happy to see her least favorite celebrity on earth arriving in her town. A woman named Sabrina Sapphire was visiting. Now uh lemme give you some backstory to our heroine and villain.
*Nicole is a thin girl, not too thin just slightly more than average. Shes a bit dramatic and likes to make people smile. She reminds herself of YouTubers she often watches. Shes not too too social, but thats because she prefers to spend time on the internet. Shes got long blonde hair and has little to no curves. She also has a burning hatred of Sabrina Sapphire. Sabrina used to be her idol, a pop star/movie star with a body to kill for. BUT she said something shed regret..*
(flashback to incident)
*Basically, Nicoles best friend is a girl named Courtney. Courtney was well... fatter than most. She had plump breasts, a big butt, and thick thighs. She was sti

Silverthorne, Silver Vale
Featuring: Lyanna and Skyla
The golden doe ran like the wind, looking back every few minutes to look at the one chasing her. This side of the Vale was always an open meadow of shorter grass, perfect for fawns to play in and not bump into the adults watching. She saw a few soldiers far away from the corner of her eye, they looked at her curiously before shaking their heads with a smile and going back to their business. When her pace slowed her chaser finally caught up with her, headbutting her knees and making her fall with a gleeful laugh.
The doe laughed as she turned on her back and looked at the dark filly that had been chasing her. The little one had gotten quite fast in the past few days even for her size. Skyla’s reddish brown eyes glinted with happiness as she looked down at her, her tail wagging behind her. The filly then slumped next to Lyanna and put her head in her chest, her sides heaving fro

The engineer sat against the wall and listened to it, feeling the love he had for machines calm his uncertain nerves. He never felt more at home than he did when he was working on circuits or checking power relays. Technology powered him, and he powered it.
He raised one blackened hand to a sweaty, dirty forehead. In his hand was a small square with a screen, flashing blue and illuminating his face. His clothes were shredded and hanging from his bloodied skin. He started to tap out an unreadable rhythm around the ship's beating, and then he added humming.
At his feet was the body of a young woman, lying on her back. Her head was facing away from him, and her orange hair hung in uneven braids. Blood surrounded her and a huge piece of metal protruded from her chest. Around her, pieces of metal and discarded gears were scattered. The lifeless metal head of a robot's visual sensors stared at t

He then seemed to remember, and cuddled you. You cuddled back with no hesitation. You heard a yelp from Alfred, and you asked, worriedly.
" What's wrong? "
" Something just poked my butt. "
Curious, you looked over Alfred's side, and saw Lucifer. You giggled and patted it's head, this time it accepted it.
" Don't worry. It's just Lucifer. " you assured.

Chapter 1 - PowersThe H-bus floated to a stop right on time. I climbed up the white tile steps that slide out from beneath it and picked a white plastic bench. The whole bus smelled like antibacterial wash. There were a few other kids who climbed on as well. One of them was my best friend Canda. “Canda, your face is going to be stuck like that,” I teased.
“It already is stuck!” she said. “How am I supposed to survive without you? When you went on vacation last summer I almost died from loneliness!”
“No you didn’t. You spent most of the time with Jeremy. And, because I left, you got yourself a boyfriend. You don’t need to make such a big deal out of it,” I reassured her.
“Well, that was just one summer. You’re talking about… about moving away! You’re moving all the way to Germany! And you never write to me when you leave either. It’s just not fair,” s

The Pokemon World was once renowned for the peace and prosperity it shared. It had been at least twenty-four years since it actually deserved that title. The Nuzlocke Challenge had ruined the land around the world, with trainers grinding on wild pokemon in order to make their own much stronger. Many wild pokemon died at the hands at such merciless beings. Trainers would fight against each other, using their pokemon to fight to the death. When their partners died, the trainers would weep in ignorance, for they mostly never rightfully blamed themselves.
From many years of nuzlocking, the trainers themselves finally realized the damage that they caused. In the few regions that allowed such a dark practice, the pokemon population dimmed to the point that every species of pokemon on those regions were close to being endangered. Such ignorance on the nuzlocker's part
Project Homecoming - Chapter 17The men stirred from their cots. Some were already up and dressed, moving about their jobs for the day. A few still slept and a few made their way to their feet. Murmurs flowed quietly through the room with quiet foot steps. Andalyn sat upon the edge of one cot in nothing more than a pair of pants and her sports bra. Her elbows were upon her knees, those blue-green eyes staring off across the way.Project Homecoming - Chapter 1722 minutes ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Hans laid slightly on his side behind her, one hand up to run his rough fingers through the soft curls of her hair. “What did you do with the boy?” he asked in a hoarse whisper.
Andalyn turned her head slightly to glance back at the man. They had just woken up and now he was going to start this? Her answer, no matter what it was, would turn the whole conversation into an argument.
“I sent him away.”
“A friend.” Her bare fingers ran along the cool surface of the right arm. She glanced back to the man, watching as his furry chest rose

“I can’t believe you!”
Armin pulled away from his sister. Rolling his shoulder, he glared down at her. “It was a joke Emma.”
“No it wasn’t!” She argued.
She reached up to slap his neck again but he was faster. “I didn’t know they’d go that far, okay? But it was a joke. So what?” He let her wrist go despite her devious pout and he planned to leave it at that but there was something about the way her brow twitched.
The sting of another hand slapping his already abused neck made him hiss. Whipping around, he rolled his eyes. It was a double team. That was what the twitch meant.
“We’re telling dad. How’s that for so what?” Emmaline smiled smugly as her double brushed past him to stand shoulder to shoulder with her. “Or mom. I’m sure she’ll love knowing her son doesn’t look out for his sisters.”

Lukara? The spirit of heat and a naughty trickster? "What did he tell you?"
"He told me what your damn plotting son was up to!"
He jerked away. "I don't know what Aranhei's been doing! He moved out of the house almost two years ago! So if he did something with your son then tell me! All I know is that they were dating, right? Because he always looked so embarrassed when I teased him about having a boyfriend. And what would Lukara know?"
"His brother is in your son's plot too! Got him with it because Ash loves dragons."
"What in the worlds would Aranhei do with a dragon? He's more about mass genocide with poison and direct slaughter."
"So you really do know nothing...
