They are all around us.
They shine light on the unknown,
They surround us from every area, but below.
They are on equal footing as us.
We strive to be in the sky with the smaller lights.
These lights on the ground keep us from seeing above.
We don't see the glory that awaits us.
Don't you want to see those lights?
Stop letting them blind you.
Turn off the lights.
Don't follow the path covered in light.
Why not try going down the path of darkness.
It's a new path.
Don't be scared.
Those above will be there.
That is right,
You are not alone.
Illuminate the darkness.
Don't let the darkness consume you.
That darkness can also see the light above.
They can see more of the light above.
They can make it!
You can make it.
Show them hope.
See the options they see.
Stop thinking that you are different like,
Night and Day

Breathe normality in,
Crease out fine stains
And I still
In flying times, and you
With your soul
I took it with geometry
Both of them were fine
To me, I
Stare still, you still stare,
I cry dreams, tonight.
Une petite reflexion''Pour peu que l'on se mette à quatre pattes, et qu'on essaie, un instant, de vivre comme un chien, sans préjugés et sans nos pensées humaines, l'on pourrait apprendre des choses depuis longtemps oubliées.''Une petite reflexion3 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This

Simple FeelingsAs I walk out of the house to only get the mail my bare feet touch the warm concrete. When I swing the key around my finger the metal clinks on the ring it’s tied to. The warmth of the earth creeps up my legs; I had an urge to fall because the feeling was so soothing, like I was being showered in warm silk. With each step I took, the more of my problems drifted away; the landing of a foot pushed any remaining strain out. It seemed as if I wasn't walking anymore, but floating to my destination. I look to the fading sky and glowing clouds to only have them cleanse my mind. I float my way past where I was supposed to go, and dropped the key. I felt like I wasn't myself because everything else was at peace. At that moment…everything seemed right.Simple Feelings4 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This

March SnowMarch snow flutters to the ground,March Snow6 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This
Swirling all around and round,
Dogs and wind howl together,
Trying to make the snow stay forever,
A blanket of white,
But it gives some folk a fright,
The grounds are covered in thick ice,
Making the drive ways not-so nice,
Snow balls fly in the air,
Children make snow men without a care,
Jack Frost sends up quite a chill,
But the early release gives everyone a thrill,
Maybe the snow will continue to fall,
Keeping the Winter spirit within us all,

The Rain ManPitter patter pitter patter...The Rain Man8 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This
The sound of rain against your bedroom window...
For some it means spring
For others; fear
For few...It means peace.
The washing of doubt and dread
You've seen them before
Those people who walk around our towns and cities...
They walk for hours on end in the pouring rain...
Or perhaps you are one
The walk without a care...
Not minding if they step in a puddle
Their shoes are already wet
The Rain Man walk where ever the rain wants him
From a distance he seem to be in reality
But as you approach
You notice his eyes are distant
The fogginess of the two eyes make you stop
And watch the lone figure walk
The Rain Man notices your own eyes on him
As he follows the rain he turns his head
And shows you a little white smile
Then returns to his life with the rain around
Now here you are...
Standing as rain drips from all around
You stand there and wonder...
Where will the rain take me?
Autumn Fire (Change of Season) I feel the change of seasonAutumn Fire (Change of Season)9 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This
this autumn fire
the nights getting longer
the impending darkness
this cold breath down my neck.
But I am aflame and
burning with passsion
to a degree that it
almost consumes me.
Memories and dreams
the future and the past
they are merging
in a round-dance of autumn leaves
in the yellow light of street lamps
or in the dim grayness of
one drizzly September day.
I am day dreaming
and the world around me becomes
like the surface of a pond
into which I dip my finger
and suddenly the whole picture
starts to ripple and disperse
and the voices of people talking to me are muted
and I hear something else.
The veil is thinni

That seems to flow,
Beneath the gold,
Of the suns glow.
It flows within,
It floats within,
You feel its breath,
In the wind,
You feel its death,
With every sin.
It does not think,
It does not hate,
It only loves,
It doesn’t berate.
And her breath,
We have a peaceful death

soaking in the quiet music
of the day as it goes by
he doesn’t really want to prance
and he surely doesn’t want to hop
he just wants to sing his song
and watch the pixies dance
under guard by tallest tree
Toady sings for you and me
with his cricket orchestra
he makes a dandy melody

The ending of the day
Brings certainty that
Soon the night will play...
The sunsets mark
A transition period
Between day and night
And lets all things know
Everything is going to be alright...
Wonderful, magnificent colors
Fill the sky
And hope from on high...
The beauty and splendor
The sunsets bring
That all good things

above the rest
to hear the birds
see the ponds
but theres a haze a fog
above it all
Looking to the horizon is she there?
sitting on another rooftop
can she see me?
am i small?
Was it a fog
or is the fog just my perspective
above it all
but the haze is gone
see the ponds
to hear the coo
above it all

The sun tilts on the edge
Before it falls
You have caught it already
Trees with a hesitant shudder
Shake leaves that aren't ready to die
The breath passes
But when you look up
The clouds are pulling back
They have smelled it
They are leaving the thick air
Near the ground
To escape it
But you have to stay
And when you feel it again
There will be frost

The Garden was EmptyThe garden was empty,The Garden was Empty1 day ago in Free Verse More Like This
Yet seemed alive somehow.
The leaves glistened as they fell,
communicating in soft rustles as the wind guided them,
To the floor.
The pond shone in the light,
Picking up on any shimmer of sunlight it could,
expanding it to become abstract in the water.
Bugs and bees flew about,
Blissfully unaware of the beauty of the garden below them.
The hedges were walls,
The leaves guarding the kingdom within,
From exposure to the light.
The sound of the breeze was quietly appreciated,
As if it was the musical arts of Beethoven,
To the natural eye, it had no audience,
But to the creative eye, it had.
Flowers scattered about in gaggles of gossiping buds,
Each in their own color group,
Not stepping a root over line.
Each inch had a story to be told.
Yes, the garden was empty,
Yet seemed alive somehow...

droplets collecting over
my lids and
sparking in the sunlight
that is my smile.
My stomach is the melting ice,
cracking and thawing and
Yes, I am the spring.

And, with it, a million memories shatter,
With a meaning to fall,
Falling, and falling,
Throughout the breeze,
Past the old baker,
Wondering where he put his keys.
No feelings, no nerve,
No strength to cling,
But they know that they
will be back next...
Cigarettes and AutumnsAll these cigarettes and autumns are piling upCigarettes and Autumns1 day ago in Free Verse More Like This
on me. Dead leaf at dusk from a
hoary apple tree.
Eden's falling with each
tick of the tock, measured by periodic
fingers counting down an imaginary clock.
I can nearly see the golden leaves
dancing on the breeze while the
incense smell of burning fronds
waft tenaciously through the trees.
It's a good time to be alive.
Soon enough the frost on the window's
going to hide the impending
autumn happening outside.
So presently I'm exhaling stale smoke
on the window, lamenting summer's
passing with a clear view
of each hue of a burning bush,
of each push towards doom
already intent on being reborn.

and I start to trek...
I imagine the concrete structures covered in green,
Life found a way and wrapped itself around death,
leaving it breathing...
and I fill it with metaphores,
but we cut life down,
to rebuild with that which does not prespire...
Society lives by this philosophy of death, and we destroy, and we rebuild, and we destroy, and we rebuild, So when the sun goes below the horizon, I create a new rhythm, and I guess you can say that's a metaphor,
except the sound my shoes walking, running treading,
This is my rhythm.
I find this within shadows,
and I guess that's a metaphor,
except the lack of light creates indicernable shapes my heart can relate to,
so perhaps that's personification,
but I'm always listening so something is singing... with this rhythm.
This is not metaphore. Or a world within my depths. This is the night...
Where I live when people are devulged within their own metaphores...
