I think I’ll while the time away,
to feed the ducks upon the pond,
and watch them while the world beyond
goes crazy with its time constraints
endless chatter, raves and rants,
gossip, mobiles, television,
children's homework supervision.
All types of jobs are needing done,
in the office or at home,
listed in my mind’s agenda.
Today though I won’t even lend a
thought to masses of things piling
mentally that need some filing
to prioritise each urgent need,
Because my soul’s needs

WeirdityA weirdity I now point outWeirdity3 days ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Which you have missed without a doubt
The leaves upon those treelets there
Do point their noses in the air
As if to say they did not care
That other people point and stare.
How odd this is in one respect
Because I’m sure that last I checked
The leaves upon a little tree
Never became aware of me
And I am sure that you’ll agree
It’s not the way that they should be.
PreludeToday I wrote this poemPrelude3 days ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
And kept it in my head
I told about the foam
And weeds on the seabed
The fields of golden flowers
On snowy-crested heights
And maidens in their towers
Awaiting shining knights
Then I wanted to recite
And found it wasn’t there
Had a case of bad stage fright
I couldn’t breathe the air
Audience eyes pry and stare
Probing into my mind
Lines and verses hiding there
They vainly try to find
Silence is getting awkward
And I can’t speak at all
My thoughts are going backward
I think I’m gonna bawl
Mommy, help me, I’m too scared
No, wait, she isn’t here
Do not worry, I’m prepared
There is no need to fear
You’ll see I came well equipped
I will try to save face
Hold on, I’ll go get the script
I brought it just in case!
