A Single ButterflyI know a young girl who loves butterfliesA Single Butterfly2 days ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
She keeps them on a billboard twice her size
Seven colors of them hang on her board
Yellow, green, red, blue, black, white, brown adored
She hangs yellow ones when a stranger smiles
Green ones are hung when an acquaintance lies
Red ones are rare as she is never mad
A blue one for each tear when she is sad
Black ones are pinned whenever a loved one dies
Luckily this happened only two times
A white butterfly for each sincere friend
Who is someone she knows she can depend
And brown ones were the rarest of them all
I asked her why non covered her big wall
She smirked, she smiled yet she stood silently
There wasn't any reason apparently
I told this poem and she started laughing
She said I was deep and understanding
She asked me how much longer I could stay
In an hour I would be on my way
We talked and we enjoyed the company
Yet I had to leave her uncomfortably
I waved goodbye and couldn't believe my eyes
A brown one on a billboard twice her size
A Meridell CelebrationCome one, come all to this occasion.A Meridell Celebration1 day ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
It’s the Discovery of Meridell celebration!
Flags catch wind on castle high.
Tell all of Neopia, festivities are nigh.
The Turdles' races come to a close
and the Turmaculus wakes from lengthy dose.
Illusen leaves her emerald glade
and Sinsi counts the day’s games played.
From Brightvale to Maraqua’s shoals,
Terror Mountain to Moltara’s coals.
'Pets travel from lands so far away
to share in Meridell’s special day.
They dance and sing in castle's green
as golden sunlight, off grass, gleams.
Darigan minons waltz with faeries,
and even greyest 'pets are filled with merries.
For, in Neopian’s medieval land,
on this day so gold, so grand,
all come together for this day
to party their differences all away.
