Liam T. Dredd and Diaphanous Haze
Were married in not unusual ways.
They booked a cathedral, they made their vows,
Bought as much insurance as the state allows.
He called her Daffi, She called him Lee,
He wrote out their wills, she made them some tea.
"I'll sign the papers if you will," she said.
"A million if either of us drops dead."
"I have a confession, my dear," said he.
"Counting the others, you're Wife Number Three.
"My dear exes were strangled, drowned and shot,
They left me quite lonely, but left me a lot."
"How sad!" said Daffi with a secret smile,
"But at least your marriages were worthwhile.
"Now, my late husbands, of which there were four,
Never gave me a penny. That's why they're no more."
"It seems I'll be careful from now on," Lee sighed,
"For I've finally found my match in a bride.
"And speaking of matches, look under your chair,
I've hidden a clever bomb under there."
"Oh, I found it," said Daffi, "I'm afraid it's destroyed
"That charming young housemaid w

I am the silhouette
I am the unread book
Letters and words within me
Arranged in such a way
This narrative keeps the readers eyes fixed
To the words that I say
Evoking an array of emotions
From the first page to the last
Keep you from putting me down
Chapter to paragraph
Heroes and heroines
Acting out in fictional arenas
Facts and figures educate
And quench lifes thinkers and dreamers
The feel of my page on your fingers
The scent that lies within
They judge me on my appearance
Before the first chapter even begins
So I remain on the shelf
Slowly gathering dust
Nowadays they rarely look beyond my cover
I am the unread book

If The World is a Book, I Want to Read Every Page.
Let me memorize each dotted "i"
of moonlights freckled face
Trace the silver ripples
of a seashores wrinkled page
Count the auburn stanzas 'tween
the depths of trembling trees
Ride upon the vessel
of a sun-kissed simile.
Open sky-stripped windows
to the sigh of cursive clouds
Shuffle through the metaphors
Awaking through the ground
Slant the sails of poetry
toward continents of sea
Deep into the jungles where
the verses lace the trees.
Catch the winds of free verse
Or the open waves of rhyme
Sift through ocean ballads
where the sunset greets the tide.
Study drops of scripture
as it clicks against the street
Sleep between the pages
of departed poetry.

The home of the Willow Wisps
Is not a faraway land
You do not cross wide oceans
Or tread hot valleys of sand
From the hollows of an oak tree
Awakens Queen of the Fae
Small transparent wings shimmer
In the sunlight of the day
On the voyage of sailors
Silent waters bubble to life
And bursts forth a Siren
Maiden of beauty and strife
Serene slumbering Dragon
Nestled in a cave of riches
With gold, silver, and jewels
He has fulfilled all his wishes
The beautiful lovelorn Princess
Locked away in her high tower
He is the noble, radiant sunshine
Come to rescue his sweet sunflower
Magical Forests, Castles in the Sky,
Adventures, Wonderlands, and Dreamscape
Never ending fantasy and fiction
Willow Wisp, won’t you be my escape?
The Willow Wisps sigh softly
It’s time for the magic to go home—
Home within the pages of a fairytale book
As you finish reading the poem

Bound together with time alone.
The parchment is stained with a life time of experience
And you sing melodies a pure as a snowy winter morning.
But you sing to a different tune
And your lyrics are not clear,
What is it that you sing of?
I am eager to hear.
If I could I would read you, I would,
But you keep yourself hidden and obscured
By walls and bars of the coldest steel.
What is it that you cry for?
I am dying to know.
If I could hear you, I would dance the same dance,
I would march to the same beat.
But you are stuck in your cage, and I on the outside.
What magic is your lifes song made of?
Could I be your dancer?
Or how about your abracadabra?
What must I do to set you free?
The rhymes chanted to free your magical aura,
I would chant them untill I have no more breath.
The exotic strides and bounds of your dance,
I will learn them even if it takes a life time.
What ever you are missing I will find it.
Who ever you are seeking I will find them.
I am here, s
