Why Don't You Celebrate Your Birthday?Esperanza looked at the draft of the fabric at hand, keen emerald eyes scrutinizing the details if it was worthy to be included in the celebration. Since it was only an average, busy day of preparing the festivities, she wore a black top with three-fourths sleeves with ruffles stitched around the hem that flowed to her wrist; and draperies connected to its waistline. Lacy, ebony embroideries adorned the square neckline, along the contour of her front and down to the edges of the hanging fabrics. A large, ruffled green skirt with layers of petticoats flowed out from underneath the draperies. They invaded us, and took our lives away. We've been living with the fear of the undead ever since. A huge wave of the living dead was approaching. They were ready to murder anyone who dared to step in their way. But we knew we had to stay brave and fight them. Althrough nobody supported us, we hoped to survive... Because we're the sesiest.
Our team was invincible. The leaders, the sesi quatro, the roznati avengers; Labla, Kiki, Maja, Ami. In roz we trust! But the zombies were getting closer. They were starting to kill our hope slowly. We had to grow bigger and stronger.
We had to have more in order to survive. More roz. We needed more sesi people to join us. We went for a run one day, only to find two scared kids hiding in a supermarket. Asking them who they are, we heard them say: "N-Nelica..." and "Jov...ca". They seemed pretty roznato, tho. We decided to take them in our team.
"Wait...!" Nelica gasped. "We still have one more survivor in the basement, Nikol

I couldn't believe what I was padding from. It was my own dog, Muffin. Oh, Muffin, why did this happen to you?!
I dared to look behind me, and there she was, looking more angry then ever. I just pet her head, then she leaned forward to try and nip me, and then her mouth formed froth.
That's when I ran out of my cabin, stupidly leaving the door open. I was tempted to take out my bright blue phone to call Animal Control, but I couldn't. This was my sweet Muffin, not some giant Pitbull with a foamy mouth and a face of rage. I couldn't let them shoot her. Besides, I already called them once today, when the badger attacked Muffin, so I thought they would just say "Sorry, ma'am." and hang up on me. Oh, Muffin. This isn't the Muffin I know.
I must have gotten lost in my thoughts, because I realized I was way slower t

A Bleeding MindThe man in the white uniform walked slowly to the other side of the room and stood adjacent to the doctor. They exchanged whispers and glanced over at the patient occasionally. After a few exchanges they appeared to be nodding in agreement, as if they had reached some sort of paramount conclusion. The doctor tapped the nurse’s arm, signaling her to follow. The steel door creaked open. A scintillating light pierced the room through the opening. The patient leaned to look out it. He was smiling at the light that held his face and dulled his pain, like a mother soothing the cries of her child. He was happy to be escaping his dim reality, if just for a moment. The door closed, and with it the entrance to the outside world that had once lovingly embraced the patient. Behind that door stood his life and his freedom. It was so close, yet it would forever elude him. The man in white returned to the table and sat his hands upon the tabletop.
