The one you see sitting in the back,
Listening intently as the teacher rambles on.
I’m not that girl,
That is already done with homework,
Five minutes after getting the assignment.
I’m not that girl,
That flaunts her 100 on a test,
By letting the teacher compare everyone’s to hers.
I’m not that girl,
That has a perfect life,
And everything is going perfectly for her.
That’s not me.
I’m that girl,
That will smile at you to cheer you up then goes and hides,
In the bathroom so you don’t see my tears.
I’m that girl,
That tries hiding under her desk from embarrassment when her teacher comments,
On her high score she didn't even study for.
I’m that girl,
Finishing her homework while hoping,
The bell doesn’t ring for the class it’s due for to begin.
I’m that girl,
That’s mind is on anything else,
But the lesson on probability.
I’m that girl,
You’ll never get to know,
Cause you ju

Liam T. Dredd and Diaphanous Haze
Were married in not unusual ways.
They booked a cathedral, they made their vows,
Bought as much insurance as the state allows.
He called her Daffi, She called him Lee,
He wrote out their wills, she made them some tea.
"I'll sign the papers if you will," she said.
"A million if either of us drops dead."
"I have a confession, my dear," said he.
"Counting the others, you're Wife Number Three.
"My dear exes were strangled, drowned and shot,
They left me quite lonely, but left me a lot."
"How sad!" said Daffi with a secret smile,
"But at least your marriages were worthwhile.
"Now, my late husbands, of which there were four,
Never gave me a penny. That's why they're no more."
"It seems I'll be careful from now on," Lee sighed,
"For I've finally found my match in a bride.
"And speaking of matches, look under your chair,
I've hidden a clever bomb under there."
"Oh, I found it," said Daffi, "I'm afraid it's destroyed

As the first soft gray wave of pre-dawn light filtered in through the open bedroom window, there was the slightest movement beneath the blankets. He detected it of course immediately, his peaked ears twitching and rotating like tiny radar stations, his ever-vigilant amber eyes flashing fully open. Yes, she was stirring. Soon she would be awake. His guardian duties were done for another night. He carefully raised himself from where he had lain curled up at the foot of the bed and alighted with a little jump from the bed to the floor. His four black-stockinged paws made no sound as he padded across the hardwood floor. Then came the short hop to the dresser top beneath the open window. There he hesitated to turn and regard his sleeping charge for a moment before departing. He wondered how such a seemin

The home of the Willow Wisps
Is not a faraway land
You do not cross wide oceans
Or tread hot valleys of sand
From the hollows of an oak tree
Awakens Queen of the Fae
Small transparent wings shimmer
In the sunlight of the day
On the voyage of sailors
Silent waters bubble to life
And bursts forth a Siren
Maiden of beauty and strife
Serene slumbering Dragon
Nestled in a cave of riches
With gold, silver, and jewels
He has fulfilled all his wishes
The beautiful lovelorn Princess
Locked away in her high tower
He is the noble, radiant sunshine
Come to rescue his sweet sunflower
Magical Forests, Castles in the Sky,
Adventures, Wonderlands, and Dreamscape
Never ending fantasy and fiction
Willow Wisp, won’t you be my escape?
The Willow Wisps sigh softly
It’s time for the magic to go home—
Home within the pages of a fairytale book
As you finish reading the poem

Bound together with time alone.
The parchment is stained with a life time of experience
And you sing melodies a pure as a snowy winter morning.
But you sing to a different tune
And your lyrics are not clear,
What is it that you sing of?
I am eager to hear.
If I could I would read you, I would,
But you keep yourself hidden and obscured
By walls and bars of the coldest steel.
What is it that you cry for?
I am dying to know.
If I could hear you, I would dance the same dance,
I would march to the same beat.
But you are stuck in your cage, and I on the outside.
What magic is your lifes song made of?
Could I be your dancer?
Or how about your abracadabra?
What must I do to set you free?
The rhymes chanted to free your magical aura,
I would chant them untill I have no more breath.
The exotic strides and bounds of your dance,
I will learn them even if it takes a life time.
What ever you are missing I will find it.
Who ever you are seeking I will find them.

If The World is a Book, I Want to Read Every Page.
Let me memorize each dotted "i"
of moonlights freckled face
Trace the silver ripples
of a seashores wrinkled page
Count the auburn stanzas 'tween
the depths of trembling trees
Ride upon the vessel
of a sun-kissed simile.
Open sky-stripped windows
to the sigh of cursive clouds
Shuffle through the metaphors
Awaking through the ground
Slant the sails of poetry
toward continents of sea
Deep into the jungles where
the verses lace the trees.
Catch the winds of free verse
Or the open waves of rhyme
Sift through ocean ballads
where the sunset greets the tide.
Study drops of scripture
as it clicks against the street
Sleep between the pages
of departed poetry.

Hello. Do you remember me? I'm that book, over there. We met a long time ago. In fact, next summer it will have been ten years.
I'm also not finished. At first, I thought you forgot about me, but that is ridiculous. I ring through your mind even today, if only a faint background noise. My story still exists, and you yearn still to continue it - yet you hesitate. Yet you make excuses. And now, I know what you are thinking.
You are afraid of writing poorly. You are afraid of losing your place, of forgetting where the plot was going - of becoming everything you despise. And now, you consider forsaking me.
Keep on going, my friend. I have been there through your tough years: when you were alone, angry, and hurt, I was who you turned to. I fueled you to carry on toward your dream. You gave your heart to me when you kept writing, even after you lost all your work. You cannot simply forget me, or simply quit writing. I will always be there, as I am now, in the back

"I'm crazy man! I let my peas and mashed potatoes touch!"
I don't have gender preferences, I have people preferences!
"Boys don't fall for me, I trip them!" Stolen from a t-shirt I saw one time.
"And then this slide goes here, you select this, and then it shall be my squishy and I shall name him squishy." (I was referring to the slide show i was making.)
"My plan is...well, now that I think about it, I don't have one. Whaddya say we throw these mashed potatoes at Hayden?"
I burn brightly. Throw water on me, and the smoke that curls to the night sky has more freedom than you ever will.
I die and I cry, I laugh and I sing. I'm not that different from you.
"My 'something tells me' that your 'something tells you' is right." ((Me, to my friend Emi-chan))
And, "A hundred years of alcohol leaving the body by any means possible is not a pretty sight." ((Artemis Fowl, first chap
The Book ThiefIt was always her. The one behind the shelves. Lurking behind the next case. Not hiding, not anything of that sort. The Book Thief4 years ago in Philosophy & Perspectives More Like This
It was obviously her. The one pausing over each title. The one whose fingers lingered over each leather binding.
It was no one but her. There was always this glow, this gleam in her eyes as she gazed at the creamy pages. Eyes of a magpie that girl had, always hidden behind umber hair. Peering through and siphoning the words from the page.
It was the way that she moved. That's how you knew. The way she rubbed her lower lip with her thumb. The way her eyes darted, swam across every line. Or floated I should say. Floated on ink over every wet word.
It was her breath. Eternally bated, as if waiting for the end. Waiting and watching and breathing in again. In and out, up and down. Rising and falling like a personal tide, the waves being pulled by another man's words.
She must have known. She must have felt inside the craft that went into each of these markings. The work, the t
