Cosplaying, I'm not into it at all, I would never dress a costume even if Ezio himself would say and tell me "please, do it for the Brotherhood". Ok, maybe if that would be a real Assassin robe I would, but for some reason I don't like costumes.
It's just me... LOL... Still, I find it pretty bold and actually courageous for others to do it and I really admire the dedication and the work all of you put in cosplay, especially those who make most of the gears themselves. I am well aware it's not an easy work. So, kudos to you all.
True, I do prefer a cosplay of a guy cosplaying a guy and a girl cosplaying a girl, and not viceversa, but who am I to judge? The effort is still big no matter who does the cosplay. I think most people in the Assassin's Creed fandom are familiar with the case of Rick Boer. Mr. Boer was a Dutch cosplayer, whom, together with his biracial wife, cosplayed Assassin's Creed III's Connor Kenway and Aveline de Grandpré. Their work was truly beautiful, but there was one thing the morally righteous (or just pathetically jealous, your choice) held against it. Soon, he found himself accused of "brownface" with people calling him a "racist" and sending him and his wife (who, remember, is a woman of African descent herself) death threats, eventually boycotting him off the internet. Clearly, they were pleased with a job well-done, but if anything, it outed them as nothing more than immature, self-righteous cowards who not only enjoy standing on a soapbox for something that doesn't need fighting f
Malfatto's Tale: Prologue Rain spattered the stone, paved streets of Rome, Italy, pouring from the dark, blue grey sky above. An occasional lighting streak would erupt through the thick clouds, illuminating the dark world below for a brief second before darkness engulfed the city once again. It was very late now; midnight had easily come and gone. There was not a soul wandering through the sodden streets of Rome at this hour, all of them had turned into the safety of their warm houses for the night hours ago.. No one would dare to venture out into the streets after the sun set, especially not on a night like this. Everyone, save for a scarce few, knew what kind of evils occurred on the streets after dark. However, it was not the main, open streets that the people of Rome feared so much after sun fall, it was the twisting, ink black, back alleyways of the city that stuck fear into their hearts and prevented them from leaving their homes at night. They had all heard the horror stories of what occurrMalfatto's Tale: Prologue9 months ago in Settings
