“Did I mention that I hate this place?”
“Good, because I really HATE this place!”
Daelin didn’t blame Toric for not liking it in the Undercity; it wasn’t exactly a safe place. And the smell didn’t help. If a dwarf like Toric Stormpike or a human like Daelin were discovered they would almost certainly be killed; quickly if they were lucky. But if they were going to accomplish what they hoped to accomplish they needed to be there. Of course that meant finding what they hoped to find and getting out of there in one piece.
Getting into the city wasn’t too difficult. They had waited until the change of the guards to sneak into the ruins of Lordaeron city. The Undercity was in a fact a vast crypt built underneath the ruins of the old capitol. Daelin was in his teens when he first heard about the Scourge, a vast army of the undead ruled by the Lich King, that had destr

Saora whirled to face Dhaja. The Draenei had already conjured a massive light spell in her hands. Even worse, several Zodiac mercenaries behind her edged closer, emboldened. If they attacked now...
Dhaja's arm pulled back. She flung the orb of Light at Varosh, the ball bigger than the orc general's head. Without thinking, Saora threw herself in the magic's path. She whipped Benediction around her wrist, forming a golden shield with its spinning shaft. Dhaja’s orb folded into the blessed staff. Benediction gleamed brilliantly as it spun, fading to its dull shine as Saora whipped it to her back and held it steady. Her left hand extended to the Justicar, ready for a second attack.
"Please," Saora said, terror pressing against her lungs, "please don't."
Dhaja stared at her, jaw dropped. The mercenaries had similar expressions.
"Don't you see?" Saora kept pleading, "This is what he wan

Nazgrim grimaced at the comment, knowing all too well the sarcasm that embodied it. He was in no mood for sarcasm, especially from the blood elf standing before him. He already could not believe truly that the rebels had breached the gates of the city, beaten their way past the goblins’ war machines(which, perhaps, was not that surprising after all), and reached this far down into the Cleft of Shadow. And they’d done much more: Bested his battalion of Kor’kron, mages, and warlocks that held the outer layer of the Cleft. Now all that stood between them and the inner workings of his warchief’s “true horde” was himself, a single orc with a single battle axe.
“Are you, death knight?,” he spat.
Was he afraid? No. Far from it, in fact. He would fight a thousand soldiers if it were to his warchief’s delight. His honor and b
SCEPTER CH 37 ConfrontationElforen hadn't expected to sleep at all. He had slept poorly the entire two weeks he had been snowed in that dirty inn in Everlook, and when he had retreated against the wall to tune out the scene in front of him, he had been so wound up he didn't trust what he would do. When he felt himself shift abruptly into consciousness, he was disoriented. He rubbed a hand over his face, willing clarity back to his mind. He blinked his eyes and glanced about the room. The light streaming in through the windows looked to be late morning, but it was hard to tell from the angle he was sitting at. He rolled his shoulders and sat up straighter. He was still sitting against the wall of the hut. A neat pile of blankets and pillows sat next to his pack. Apparently he had fallen asleep before he could make himself a bed. His armor chinked as he shifted position to check on his gear. He hadn't even taken off his armor. Automatically he began to unbuckle the leather straps and set pieces aside. SCEPTER 36 ReunionZarabethe shifted uncomfortably on the pallet. Her back, still adjusting to the loss of the heavy weight inside her, refused to let her sleep in any position. Beside her, Spook lifted her head and looked at her master, as if she had been laying there awake the entire night. Zarabethe tried again rolling to her stomach, and gasped as she pushed up from that position: her breasts ached too much to lay against them. Quickly she glanced over to the basket and the bundle of blankets contained therein: the baby was quiet, breathing slowly and evenly, only her tiny dark purple face visible. The past two days had been long and tedious for Alexandros. He tended to Sir Raithios and his clan after feeble fights on the battlefield, while still tending to his own endeavors. The day was drawing to a close as the evening was quickly setting in. Alexandros had long sense left the side of Sir Raithios and was finding a place to relax for the evening, he was not looking for sleep, for it never came easily to him. But he wanted quiet above anything else. He was not wearing is normal fitted suit today, in its place he wore a black slender cloak with a hood pulled well over his face, allowing only his mouth to show to people who bothered to look. He wore his normal gloves that concealed his claws from the unsuspecting world. He carried for once a weapon, a large scythe that glowed with an ominous energy.
He walked in the catacombs of Undercity as he made his way out of the city, only to have his eye caught by a worn and damaged mailbox. He eyed it curiously

He had my attention, this messenger from the Regeant Lord; he spoke as if he had more authority than the Ranger-General. He looked like a part of the Blood Knights ... smelled like one too.
"Quel'Thalas is as much my home as it is yours and I would not see it fall to our ancient enemy. Now you tell your cowardly Regeant--"
Vereesa Windrunner, Ranger-General of The Silver Covenant, stood tense, ready to shout out every obscenity she had in her arsenal, no doubt. I could not help but nod in agreement to what she said, and a few other Rangers from the different gathered forces did as well.

Tsucarru paced back and forth in the room she had tendered from the Inn keeper in Silvermoon. She needed a moment to think, to decide, to focus. The past few days had been hard and things were coming to a head faster than she could unravel them herself. Her former employer was causing all kinds of mayhem and it was obvious now that she would not be able to stop him alone, but she had little bridges left as she had burned almost all of them. She had tried to kill him herself only for him to escape while casting a hex on her, limiting her time to fight. She had tried to enlist in the aid of Lord Raithios and his clan, but he did not take to her cause as quickly as she hoped. He instead focused on his own family, his Saorei.
The thoughts did nothing but bring her rage boiling to the surface, in a fit of rage she swung her arm throwing 6 of her concealed knives out and across the room, each planting itself in the walls of the room. Two in the headboard. One in a

Llorrin looked around him. His conversation had left him distracted, so only now did he fully realize they’d passed out of the forest. There were only few trees around them now, and high grass covered the ground instead of mud. The sea stretched out far below him, to his left, and from a distance he could already see the inlet, cutting into the cliffs that bordered the coast. A rocky path descended steeply towards the foot of the cliff, towards a thin strip of beach. When he squinted Llorrin could see the cave entrance opposite from him, on the far side of the inlet. It was big, large enough to fit a ship through for certain, and it had jagged edges, like the gaping beak of a ghoul. Llorrin tried to catch a glimpse of any of his men that might have already made it there, but at this distance he couldn’t make any of them out.

World of Warcraft: Unsung Heroes 3The skies were unusually clear, very few clouds and oddly very few flying beasts to accompany them in their venture. Aeranae’s golden braids whipped about her face as she leaned over the edge of the zeppelin, taking in the scenery below her but at the same time being careful not to go overboard. At the other side of the ship sat Shokia, Kiryn, and Rivett, chatting amongst themselves. The death knight didn’t feel welcome in their company at the moment and thus kept her distance. She’d taken from their world a brave and honorable person who’s only fault was his undying allegiance to his warchief and they were far from forgiving her for it. Aeranae’s tears fell in bucket-loads and wetted his armor. She was far too distraught to be calmed now.
“No, it’s not alright! I-I killed you! You’re dead …” her voice was muffled and shaking hysterically with emotion.
“Do I look dead to you?”
The hulking orc placed his hands on either side of her face and forced her to look at him. He was alive. She could hear him, she could see him. She could…touch him. Still dazed from the fight she found standing upright difficult and so stumbled to keep her footing. She turned her head and spat blood from her mouth then wiped her lips clean with her forearm. The orc said not a word but stared at the ground, prepared for what would come next. She could do it…End him right then and there and nobody would protest. Garrosh Hellscream still lived and, according to the leader of the Shado-Pan, would be standing trial in another few days. The pandarens were a peaceful people by nature, she observed, and they would avoid the shedding of blood to the best of their ability; this made her nervous about the trial. Lerraszune was young and vital, a mother once; a mate once. She had lived more than the average human already and yet she was young and spry with little knowledge of the civilized world. He felt drawn to this mysterious sadness like a magnet to iron, and he wished for her to accept him more than anything. It became his new goal, and Lerraszune reciprocated as much as she could, seeing how much she meant as the time passed by, and how important she was becoming to him. My eyes opened slowly to bright light, and I took a deep breath as I opened them fully. I was still in bed, my chest no longer full of pain, the exhaustion gone. The balcony doors were open and the sheer violet curtains that lined them rippled in the gusty wind. I noted that my legs felt slightly tingly, particularly the insides of my thighs, but I figured it was because of disuse. No one was in the room.
"Hello?" I called out, and as soon as I did the door swung open.

"Did he say anything about me?" I asked, refilling his glass before sipping at my own.
Lor'themar's face colored a little. "I would not insult you further by repeating what he said."
I looked down, somewhat ashamed of myself. I thought about what I told Aethas, but now was not the time to go asking my soon to be husband about Northrend. All he wanted was a bit of relaxation and I wanted to grant him that.
He sat up slightly and sighed, suddenly caressing my knee. "I could have broken his neck for those words he said regarding you."
"You wouldn't, though. You'd let me do it." I smiled slightly.
He cupped my chin. "I would."

The hearthstone had brought Alexandros and Shecarru to the Shrine of two moons. As they arrived, Alexandros felt weight on his arm as he looked to find Shecarru almost unconscious again. The relocation has taken more out of her than she had to give. He said nothing and placed his stone into his satchel.
