I Tear My Skin AwayI Tear My Skin AwayI Tear My Skin Away13 hours ago in Free Verse More Like This
I tear this skin from my body,
Even if the world screams,
That I am only an illusion.
I tear the bones from my legs,
Through pain, I will grow,
Through suffering, I will become.
I rip the muscles from my arms,
These teeth from my jaws...
And with nothing upon me,
I carry on...
Like a broken puppet, still shivering,
Still forcing its way through the darkness;
I tremble for I am nothing...
And yet, I am moving. My voice still screams...
I draw breath into these tired lungs,
As I rip the flesh away...
And I shatter these mirrors before me,
With a voice that will not break:
Because the world cannot label me as nothing,
And I will live for my own sake!
"So tell me, is that all the pain you've got for me?"
Levi x Reader |How To Be A Good Boyfriend|"I don't see (Name) anywhere, what's up?" Hanji's cheerful voice asks, her gaze moving towards the short male in front of her, who seems deep in thought. Hanji took it upon herself to poke his cheek, which immediately brought Levi out of his thoughts, as he hissed at the sudden contact.Levi x Reader |How To Be A Good Boyfriend|9 hours ago in Romance More Like This
"Oi, I don't want your filthy finger touching me." Levi growled lowly, his mood noticeably more sour than usual. Hanji seems to take no offense as she just gives him a cheeky grin.
"Someone's in a foul mood." No reply. Hanji started intently at Levi as he worked away at his paperwork, a scowl still hardened onto his face. With a sigh, she tones down her cheery mood, and gains a more calm look.
"You two fought again, didn't you?" Levi didn't reply once again to her question, but from the way his eyebrow's furrowed more, and he picked up his pace with his writing, she took it as a yes.
"Honestly, Levi. You're such a hardhead sometimes, just apologize." Hanji mumbled, and Levi shook his head, before finall

“Yes mon chérie?”
“Remove. Your. Hand. From. My. Ass!” you growled before glaring at the Frenchman,
“But it’s so beautiful~” he purred before sliding his other arm around your waist.
Francis, your boyfriend, was kind, loving and affectionate just a little too affectionate, in fact he was so affectionate that some would take it as far as to call him a pervert and you’re the one who had to put up with this so called ‘Pervert’.
Yeah sure at times he could be a little perverted but you wouldn't necessarily call him a pervert just a little… frisky at times and touchy, VERY TOUCHY! And to be honest it was starting to annoy you. You pinched his hand ear

I locked my heart in a mahogany box and threw away the key.
There was no one to care for - there was nothing left for me.
My heart had ceased beating long ago
after years of misery and pain.
Through countless highs and lecherous lows
I became immune to pounding rain.
I walked without even my shadow as a friend.
Numb to all emotions that surfaced to my skin.
Knowing I would be alone to the bitter end
suffering the consequences of sin.
I was shunned and shamed -
bruised and maimed.
No one cared - no one knew.
No one bothered to change my view.
My life was a silent movie
of a language no one spoke.
With plenty of plot holes for all to see
and an ending of mirrors and smoke.
It was getting hard to catch my breath.
Surely death would be oh so sweet.
Addicted to the thought like Crystal Meth,
it skipped through my head like an erratic beat.
She stumbled upon a key that washed up on the shore.
Wondering what it could unlock.
Determined to solve the riddle and explor

You winced as you prodded your digits on your split lip, crimson staining the pad of your fingertips. With shaky hands, you pulled open the dresser's top drawer, reaching in for the pouch which stored your makeup.
This was a daily routine for you; caking your face in makeup to hide the red marks and purple bruises, your bleeding lip, the shadow around your eye.
You swiped the red lipstick across your bottom lip, and the sharp, throbbing pain blossoms. Looking at your reflection, a smile spreads on your face; a perfect, practiced smile across perfect, practiced lips that showed no pain, no suffering.
Before tears could brim up at the corner of your eyes, you stood up and walked to the front door, stepping outside to go through another day of work.
"Oi, what happened to your lip? Looks like someone had punched you," the raven speaks up, slight concern etched upon his visage. He stops arranging the

It had been a year since I had seen her, and there was nothing I could do to stop myself from closing the distance at a run and embracing her. My sister, Kirsten, tried to do the same; except that she was wearing the most absurd costume I had ever seen and probably would have fallen on her face if she had tried. I didn’t care that there were other people watching, I didn’t care about how stupid we would look.
Like a fluffy little ferret or a little dog, Kirsten was mostly fluff and little else, and I scooped her up without difficulty. She wrapped her arms around my neck and cried into my shirt, sniveling. “I’ve missed you so much, big brother!” My sister was eleven, a full seven years younger than I was, and our close friendship would probably have seemed improbable or even bizarre to anyone who didn’t know what had created it.
“I’ve missed you too, Kir,” I said, like the beginning of the word “iridium” with a “k

Rin hated this idea. The idea of a move, a move between countries at that. His parents were after all Japanese, but that didn't mean he had to move there. He would lose his friends, his life, and hell even his school! That's how much he hated the idea. But despite his protests his parents did not oblige, they just brushed him off and told him to pack for the flight.
Inside his room, Rin stuffed his clothes, chargers for electronics, and other "personal" items as he huffed to himself, "Why must they decide my life for me!" His eyes shot to the door as footsteps grew louder. He zipped the suitcase and his dad appeared in the doorway, "Hey son." He said plainly.
"Hey Dad." Rin's eyes looked away and back to the suitcase as his medium length black hair whipped into his eyesight. Rin was 15, a sophomore in high school, he had a athletic build despite his heritage from japan. He was 6'0 and weighed 189 lbs. Yet he didn't like to run nor play soccer, in fact he was

EDIT: Somehow the last part of the chapter did not transfer when I copied and pasted!! It continues after Jack first says "Microsleep". Sorry for the inconvenience!
I finished off my sandwich in silence, sighing as I washed it down with a glass of [drink]. Today, Jack was just acting... off. Usually when I ate he’d try to sneak up behind me and sniff my hair, but today he just sat across from me and kept spacing out. I even “meowed” at him three times without any reaction. Meowing ALWAYS got his attention, regardless of what he was doing; I’d managed to chase him out of the cabin once or twice so he could finish a book. Given that not even that worked, this just felt REALLY serious.
What was on his mind? He seemed so bothered. Did he—

Don't forget to go read the prologue.
The sun shone brightly against the backdrop of a baby blue sky; clouds hovering overhead in all their fluffy glory. It was hot enough to be wearing short sleeved shirts, but the uniform of the Trainee Corps restricted the access to having a cool day. It didn't help that the trousers were scratchy and tight, and it didn't help that the jacket clung to their scrawny arms. However, none of the recruits seemed to be complaining. Each had a dream; each had a goal to accomplish. There wasn't a single soul stood on these particular ground that was there just to simply be there. Some had the hopes of making it into the Military Police, where they'd be safe in the center of the walls and never have to worry about dying a painful death to the Titans. These young men and women could be viewed as cowards by some people, but others admired them. Whilst other people chose to deal with lives in their respective district, the people stood here at lea

I wasn't anything special, or so I thought. Having the power to manipulate nature sort of puts you in a strange spot with "normal" people; especially when my powers are linked with my emotions. I'm supposed to receive training for them, attempt to control them but nothing has worked. I become anxious and accidentally cause some vines to crash through the room. It's worse when it happens during class or if I'm in the middle of the street. I can't help it. It's not my fault that I was born with this. I didn't ask for this.

Tony was just domesticated like that now, and ever since he laid eyes on (Name) when she was one year old, he'd fallen for her and been wrapped around her finger ever since.

"Nope, nuh-uh, can't happen. I let you live in my damn Tower since your apartment got the hell sniped out of it, and then you wanna do this to repay me? My daughter is three fucking years old, she doesn't need that in her life!"
You cocked an eyebrow. Why was Daddy arguing with Uncle Steve?

I knew something was wrong from the moment I woke up, namely that I was still dreaming. I had to be. There wasn’t any other explanation for the spectacle that awaited my dazed eyes. An abnormally lucid dream to be sure, and I’d never had a lucid dream before but I was at least familiar with the concept. Everything seemed to be flawlessly material and factual, from the flickering red numbers on my digital clock-radio to the individual fibers of my cotton sheets.
But back on topic, you’re probably curious as to what I saw. First I’ll need to briefly acquaint you with the layout of my room. There’s a rather sizable full-length mirror positioned in a straight line across from my bed. Now, in addition to seeing the room itself reflected in the mirror, there was a most unexpected fellow dwelling within the mirror itself. I say “within the mirror” because he was only present as a reflection, facing outwards in a manner that s
