well you ask an elderly lady, who tries to express her ideas and her opinions in pictures... painted or photographed... who likes to sing, to read, and loves cinema.
And as being an elderly lady, I'm not afraid of your hunger ... I think you will be confronted with tough meat...
I like to read and think about philosophic or political questions, I think economy dominates our thinking... and that reduces our life in a way which is unhealthy...
I take the brush and spray a bit of color in the world even if it's just grey, black and white sometimes, my perception then appears more colorful

, I always do find myself completely unable not to think "featuring", as well… Am I right you're trying to combine your philosophical views with your artistic perception there in your many journal features? If so (and if not, well, too), why don't you share two or three of your own personal feature favourites with us here, while getting this humble show started!

here I try to confront essential thoughts of David Chalmers with the wonderful pics you can find here on deviantart. I hope you like that...
The journals are my diary ... I want to help to get more attention to the artists, whose artwork I like and I want to speak about all the interesting ideas you can find in books to give a little bit of inspiration... that's what I try... and as I am German, most of the words are in german language.. I think most have already guessed that I'm no native speaker...
I'm collecting about 10 days or so... prepare a large news-article and take the pics, you can find there for my journals...

I think there is much more attention of the community to these large news... you need a lot of comments and favs, that the journals is to be seen on the Journal Portal...
But of course you know that...

What exactly is the "journal portal" but a showcase for professional followers anyway, and why would you want your own journals/news to have just the same effect after all?

I try to become a swimmer
and not to be drowned... so im also fishing "good" works, that means interesting works which shows a point of view or philosophy, which could give the feeling of understanding or analysis... so that's what I try and I share the solution (the fishes in my net) with you... and of course I think all the fish-producers should get a message, that their work is worth being commented or faved...

Old Karl Marx described the future society as paradise... everybody could be hunter or fisher or even
artist in the future an advanced industrial society should provide the members of ALL classes with food, shelter and all the things you need to live... sometimes I think we reached this point. There is a spark of it in the upcoming of photography... andthe free software to work with digital pictures and the possibility to show artwork in a worldwide net, where even BIG BROTHER will become an expert of artwork...

big brother? Because the brain is always learning, a spy cannot ignore what he watches and cannot prohibit that it influences himself ... so: if anyone here is spying on deviant art we will generate new artists and hopefully better spies
Actually it is no occasion for humor, what has happened to Snowden and what he made public about the British and the American secret services.
: Tell our noble audience just WHY it's no such occasion, please!
Can't humour be a very powerful weapon, too?
: Humour is a powerful weapon, of course... But I can't laugh actually... Mr Snowden is now asking for asylum in Russia because non of the european countries offered him shelter...
What do we do with our civil rights? Is privacy no longer needed? If you give a lot of information, as you want to do it, it's your own decision... but if secret services all around the world share their knowledge about every person in the world !!! every person, every letter, every mail, every sms, every buying, every cash, every googlesearch.... what will they find? That*s mankind made of glass not flesh and bones. An Army of idiots, without education that enjoyis the gifts of government and industry?
In the 19th and 20th century people all over the world were fighting for liberty and civil rights. Why do we accept this security-psychosis, and don't fight for our civil rights anymore? What has happened to our own governments in Europe... why are they such cowards? And why are we? And what happened to the USA? The cradle of democracy?
and Mr Snowden had to give the information about that to us... and what happened? Nothing at all... some angry discussions, some astonishment and then? let's go on. as if nothing has happened...

if I am allowed to vote, I can vote for the opposition,
if I may demonstrate, I can demonstrate
if not? I can also demonstrate ...
I can help people to fight for their rights on court,
I can talk to anyone I know that our
civil rights are violated, that societies
in this climate are no longer developing, and that are unable to improve
I can argue, that the authoritarian system is not the concept with which we want to live
I can talk about opposition, criticism and cheeky questions that keep societies alive and viable, and that it is the dissenters who protect us from the barbarism .... that too much desire for security, is strangling freedom ...
what can I do? when all of us, do it, then the intelligence agencies have a problem in the future

Why do you actually think there are just so many people out there who just refuse to even TALK about things like that at all, and if they do, do it in a tone that's quite perfect to ridicule all them issues?
Also, what do you think can be done against such scum?
: everybody has the right to do nothing... that's also the freedom we are talking about... I would not say: scum... that's not my word...never
I agree with Rosa Luxemburg's saying: Freiheit ist immer die Freiheit der Andersdenkenden. Freedom is always the freedom of those who dare to think differently.
: Well of course freedom is, but actually I wasn't talking about just "thinking differently" here, I was talking about deliberately choosing to pretend not to see anything at all! (Maybe even, just because the people who do so would NOT think something else, if chosen otherwise!

The word "scum" might be a provocative one alright, but please please!
Do not allow one single word being the reason to change your attitude in this whole interview! Because that would mean nothing else but falling prey to some secret control mechanism, just as well!
So… How would YOU call such people then, and still… What do you think can practically be done against them?

: you think, we are not talking about art actually? Just listen, what Bruce Nauman says:
«My work comes out of being frustrated about the human condition. And about how people refuse to understand other people. It's not that I think I can change that, but it's just such a frustrating part of human history.»
I don't want to do anything against people, I hate violence.... I just sometimes would like to end a profession: who has a profession must do this work responsibly. Who does not, should loose his position. That's all.

: well I mean responsibility to the constitutional rights... every politician has to protect the civil rights... and if they don't do that... they should loose their position.

If they did so, wouldn't they be doing just the opposite of POLITICS…?
: I would like them to give asylum to Mr. Snowden... to fight for the right of privacy against all secret services...

there is a great gap between having the right to democracy and living democracy, what means to try out your rights, to have a different opinion, to demonstrate and even to go to the elections....
first, people are fighting for their democratic rights then their children forget to use it....
and of course
democracy doesn't mean power of the majority but security for the minority as well...

: I think one can see, that I'm always playing with the visual effects of light, when I am taking pictures...
painting is another thing.... you have a lot of intense feeling there... I am starting then and it takes a lot of time... some weeks.... until I can say: ok, that's it...
and for me the important thing in painting is just to paint... I love to do that.
But it is both: making me happy… and making me a little bit helpless: I really don't know what I could do with all those pics… . Since they are not virtual they take a lot of space..

no, I am working a lot and have actually not enough time... so
