Can you guess my favorite surrealist remains Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marqués de Dalí de Pubol, or "Dali" for short? This is my own take on the well-known 1931 Dali piece "Persistence of Memory" (which has the melting watches); it symbolizes the collapse of our ideas about cosmic order, with the bluish-white small "eyes" left of center representing modern humanity, often facing flux in perceptions of social and economic order as well...depicted after the maestro's concept of softness and hardness. We can swing from green to red, be it dogma to informed debate, progress to stagnation, peace to war, capitalism to token economies, comfortable statism to uncharted pioneering...or in any way that erodes comfort zones; the only permanence is change.

Made in JWildfire from a single flame; post-processing (and ants, representing decay and change) in GIMP.
