second peice for my new page, this is a depiction of a dragon, with a sort of final fantasy esque bahamut color palette, whording his treasures. this particular section of the image is complete, but there is more to build upon from here. hand pixelled, 33 color count (unique). must be about 10 or so hours of work.

*edited* updated the file finally, so that it shows the complete side illustration. whee, much more purtier
Daily Deviation, 2004-08-16

Daily DeviationObserve the mighty dragon as it perches atop (err... below!) the rockcicle. This beautifully crafted and intelligent creature (fiction shows that they're intelligent, except for all that "getting killed by knights" part –- they’ll figure it out someday) has some neat dither effects with loads of detail to go along with it. Bahamut Dragon by ~st0ven is a masterpiece in its own right. Allow yourself to give it a little look and a little see. (Suggested by ~ryan-gfx and Featured by `halfliquid)

I absolutely love it! The texturing is to die for, the colors are beautifuk, the shading is dead on, all highlights and shadows are perfect! +fav.. I really do hope to see more of this awesome pixel work from you in the near future  And +watch.

Wow... I'm speechless. Why did you put it as a mature deviation?

This is pretty amazing. I don't know much about pixel art, so I can't really give a good comment. :( The colours on this are beautiful, I like the way you used similar blueish-purplish colours for both the dragon and the rock. The textures (I'm saying pretty much everything thats' been said before, sorry) are really good, I rarely see the smooth, sweeping lines in pixelart that you used on the rock and the dragon, in places, and the shape of everything looks quite realistic. The detail, especially on the dragon, is incredible.
To change something from a mature deviation, I think you can just edit it, and try the different options, because I'm certain there's something you can change to take away the "mature deviation" label.

Wow that's brilliant, the shading is really stunning. Even if the dragon itsself was only lineart it'd be brilliant, the pose is great. I like the subtle outline in there.
The palettes you used are delicious. ;)
