Oil on canvas
Based on a wood in Wicklow, the name of which escapes me at the moment
Another of the paintings I did for my exhibition, still one of the first few times I'd used oil (third I think?). I never quite made up my mind whether I liked it or not, but it sold and now that I'm parting with it I've decided I like it. Typical.
Photograph doesn't do the colours justice I'm afraid, it's really hard to take photos of canvas, they come out all bendy and odd.
Far and away the hardest part of this painting was signing it. Stop sniggering you! It's hard *whine*. I ended up signing it in acrylic so I could wash it off the oil and try again when I screwed up... This is about the fifth attempt - I think I'll just give up. Thick paint is just impossible to write with...
