About then of the Death Eaters climbed up the stairs to the 6th years dorms.
Having heard the terrifying screams and Greyback’s voice Remus’ had become more worried. Ayaska was standing behind him, Sirius and James, her wand raised, ready to fight. Her eyes had changed to yellow, as Remus’ and without knowing it the wolves inside them were ready to leap and fight.
Suddenly a loud blast, knocked the door down, and the death eaters entered, shooting hexes everywhere. The teens sent a large number of hexes and stunning spells, managing to hit three of four of them. Lily, Era and Aya had joined the fight, hexing the death eaters with no mercy.
-FILTHY MUDBLOODS!!- One of the masked men yelled and hit James with a hex, that made a huge gash appear on his arm. The boy however continued to fight, without showing any signs of pain.
-EXPELIARMUS!-Lily shouted and knocked the wand out of the death eater’s hand.
-YOU’LL PAY FOR THATMUDBLOOD! SECTUMSEMPRA!!- another yelled and aimed a curse at Lily
She ducked just in time, as the yellow light went inches away from her head.
-DIFFINDO! –Era shouted, aiming her wand for one of the men. He however blocked her spell skillfully, before hitting her with another curse.
-INCITA INFLAMARE!- Sirius shouted, sending a large fire ball at the group of death eaters. One of them froze it and it crashed into million sharp pieces flying back at  them.
While fighting one of the masked men, Aya head a shout coming from one of her friends, and turned just in time to see Greyback, swaying at Remus. He hit him, making bloody gashed appear on the boy’s chest.
-Remember  me, pup?- the werewolf growled
Then something in Aya broke down, and she leaped from her spot, transforming faster than ever. Her claws sank into Greyback’s back, throwing him off Remus.
-WHY YOU LITTLE FILTHY MUDBLOOD!! I WILL KILL YOU!- the werewolf roared and leaped faster than a human could, towards Aya. She managed to get away just I time, but his claws sank into her skin, making shooting pain run up her arm. She growled and attacked him, sinking her claws deep into his chest. Greyback howled with pain and threw her back. She was just about to hit the bed post, when someone caught her, and she glanced briefly to see Remus with blood running down his chest.  That lit a raging fire inside of her and in that moment she forgot all about hating Remus. She had to fight! She had to protect her friends.
The she wolf leaped and hit Greyback again. But he was stronger than her and hit her tearing her right shoulder.
She screamed and fell on the ground. The werewolf came very close to her, but just then something got in front of her and blue light shielded them from Greyback. Aya glances up and saw Remus pointing his wand at the werewolf,a blue shield surrounding them.
She stood up, and with only one sigh towards Remus leaped again, attacking ferociously. She wanted to tear Greyback to pieces, as her claws slashed wherever they could, making blood leak on the wooden floor. She received painful cuts and gashes herself, but refused to give up.
Meanwhile Remus  was fighting three death eaters as another 20 came into the room. Era, Lily, Sirius and James all had cuts and bruises, blood staining their clothes, but they continued to fight back with all the power and skill they had.
Greyback leaped for Remus, and Aya saw with horror how he ripped his  back , making even more blood spill on the floor. Her heart burned, as she leaped, ignoring everything but her instincts.   They were telling her to attack and she did.
She gave out a charging roar and slashed the werewolf off Remus.
Greyback fell on the ground, and the she wolf leaped on him, tearing him apart. Claws sank deep, blood  spilled on the floor, as the two sank claws and teeth into each other’s bodies, trying to tear the other apart.
Finally Dumbledore entered the dormitory with about 20 teachers, and they all sent spells at the death eaters stunning them. Remus grabbed his wand and shot a spell towards Greyback, taking him of the therian.
Aya could just lay on the ground, her body in terrible pain. She could feel the blood streaming from her body and onto the cold floor. Before everything went black, she saw Remus fall in front of her, his chest torn and bloody.
,,No…” was the last thing she thought before the blackness surrounded her.

Ayaska awoke in a bright white room. She tried to move but her body hurt so badly, that she groaned, and instead looked around her. Sirius lay in the nearest bed, his face and and hands in binds. James was next  to him his right arm bandaged up to the shoulder. Era and Lily were lying in the other row of beds. Lily had binds up her chest and hands, and Era only had a few cuts and binds. Aya then glanced on her other side and saw Remus lying in the bed next to hers. His chest was covered in more bandages than the others, and was tinted in some blood. His face had a few cuts and bruises, but he was very pale. He had lost a lot of blood.
She laid back in the covers too tired to think about anything right now and fell asleep.
-Is she awake?
-Shh.. you’ll wake her up Padfoot.
-Well that won’t be very bad. She’s been like that for 3 days now.
Ayaska could hear voices around her bed but when she heard Sirius’s last words her eyes shot open and she saw Sirius, and James all looking at her startled.
-3 DAYS! WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME UP!
-You see, Sirius she’s awake.- James scolded
-How are you guys? How are the others?
-We’re fine. Madam Pomfrey healed us pretty quickly. The girls were healed even faster, they didn’t have many wounds.
-Sadly we can’t say the same for Remus.- Sirius nodded his head to the bed next to Aya’s and she looked over there. Remus was still asleep, his binds new and with a few red stains on them.
-I’ve never seen him fight like that. Or you!! I swear for a moment I thought that werewolf was a goner.- James exclaimed and smiled
-Too bad he isn’t.- Aya growled under her breath and looked around. Her hands had healed and now all that was left were the bandages on her chest and stomach.
-I must have been hit really badly, huh?
-You had lost so much blood, that we were afraid you wouldn’t recover. Greyback had done a lot of damage. That bloody werewolf.- Sirius swore
-Hey!
-Sorry. I don’t count Remus in that. Especially not after what he did.
Aya’s heart clenched.
-What did he do?
-Well after Greyback swiped at him, his chest was torn, but he continued to fight, and when Greyback was just about to bite you, he shot a curse at him.
-I see…
-He still loves you, Aya. Give that some thought.- Sirius said and he and James were shoed out by the head nurse.
After she had been giver her potions, Aya slowly got up and sat on Remus’s bed.  His face was not as pale as three days ago and the cuts on it had healed. She slowly trailed her fingers over his binds, as Remus stirred slightly.
Aya quickly took away her hand and stood up, as he opened his amber eyes.
-Are you alright?- he asked her, his voice croaked but worry visible in it.
-Yes. I am. Thank you for taking Greyback off me. Sirius and James told me what happened.- she said, her voice even, without any emotion.
-Look, Aya, we need to talk.
-That’s not a good idea. – she said and started getting up, but Remus touched her hand softly with his bandaged one, and she looked into his amber eyes. She remembered the rage and fire she had felt when Greyback attacked him, and wondered if she still had some feelings for him.
She missed Moony, as much as she missed Remus and decided to hear him out.
-Ok. Talk.
- I am very sorry about Ashley. I don’t know what came over me. I swear I..
-How come you didn’t know what came over you. You were kissing her, Remus.
-Yes I know. But what I mean is that I think she had put some sort of a spell on me. I wasn’t thinking clearly and my mind was a complete fog.
-Listen Remus, don’t try to lie to me. It won’t work.- Ayaska made a move to stand up again but just then Lily and Era came flying in through the door.
-Aya!!- they both charged at her and hugged her. A little too tightly.
-OUCH!! That’s hurts, guys.
-Sorry, Aya, but we’re happy you’re alright. Plus we have some very god news.
-Greyback’s been murdered?- Aya growled
-Even better. We happened to overhear Ashley telling Emily that she had slipped Amortenia in Remus’ pumpkin juice.
-WHAT?! You’re just making it up to get us back together.
-No we’re not. Lily gave her veritaserum and we followed her all day and heard her tell Emily. She’d done it, for a bet she and Lucius made. He would give her 50 galleons if she kissed Remus.
-WHAT!!? BUT I.. HE!! I’ve.. he was right.
-Well isn’t he awake? – Lily asked and smiled at Remus, who was three beds away from them.
-I have to set things right. Will you give us some time.
-Sure. And, Aya.. When I saw him fight like that back then, I would say that he wouldn’t do anything like that for someone he didn’t deeply love.
-Yeah I’ve heard that.
-Listen to your instincts. They’ve never lied you before.- Era advised her as they left the hospital wing.
Aya stood on the bed, determined to listen only to her instincts. She closed her eyes and searched in the depts of her soul for the answer. It came as a warm feeling, which made her feel calm and protected. She used to feel the same way with Remus.
,,Go to him. He had never cheated on you willingly.” Her instincts practically spoke inside her and she opened her eyes and walked slowly over to Remus’s bed.
-Remus.. Era and Lily just told me something. And I want to tell you.. how sorry I am.
-I am the one that should be sorry. I caused you pain.- he spoke softly
-No. They had given Ashley veritaserum and had overheard her telling one of her friends that she had slipped Amortenia in your pumpkin juice.
-I should have known. It did smell very sweet and wrong like strawberry perfume, but I just ignored my senses and drank it. I’m sorry…
-Remus.. I..
-No. Listen to me very carefully:
I am deeply sorry, for all the pain I’ve caused you. I can never make it up to you. I never wanted to cause you such pain.
If only I could have stopped it. Bloody hell I’m such an idiot!-Remus lowered his head down and Aya could tell that he wasn’t lying. He really didn’t know about the potion.
She touched his cheek softly and the werewolf lifted his head, their eyes meeting and molding together.
-Remus, I know that it wasn’t your fault. And I’m sorry too. I’ sorry for your pain and for mine…And I can see in your eyes and soul that you’re sincere.  That is why I am willing to give you another chance.- she smiled at him, as he stared at her.
-I don’t deserve another chance.
-I can’t argue with that. But my instincts have never lied before. And now they’re telling me that you are sensire. Which I hope you are- she added and looked at him seriously
-I If course I am. -Remus whispered quietly
-Then no words are needed.- Aya said as she squeezed his hand softly.
-Thank you.
The therian smiled and laid carefully not to cause herself or Remus any pain.
Remus put one arm around her shoulders, as she nuzzled his neck softly.
,,Yup, instincts never lie.” Aya thought to herself, as Remus stroked her hair tenderly. He bent over to her and kissed her forehead softly.
-Get some sleep, alright? You look tired.
-I’m not tired.- she said but a big yawn escaped her mouth, and Remus chuckled.
-Not tired?
-Maybe a little.., ok a lot. I feel like I’ve been torn to pieces.
-Well you were actually. You were lying on the floor in so much blood, that I though you were…
-Dead?
Remus pressed his finger to her lips silencing her.
-I can’t tell you how thankful I am that you’re alive. And that you’re here with me.
-The same goes for me. When I saw Greyback rip your chest, I went ballistic. I don’t know what was it.. but I didn’t feel any fear, nothing. Just strength and courage to fight.
-I saw you. To tell you the truth I was a bit scared myself.
Ayaska laughed and ran her fingers over his bare bandaged chest.
-I’m not as defenseless as you think.
-I never said that you were defenseless. You are a very strong fighter. - he said and kissed her forehead. –No you should really get some sleep. If you want I can read you a story.- he offered, laughing.
-No. I’m not a child anymore. But the thing you’re doing with my hair is making me sleepy.
-Turn around. -Remus whispered softly, and Aya turned with her back, pressed against him. She felt his hands entwine in her long brown hair, stroking it gently.
-I love you, my brave, little she wolf.- he whispered in her hair and took a strand of her brown locks away exposing her neck. His lips gently touched the soft skin there, giving Aya one of the most tender and loving kisses she had ever received.
-I love you too…- she murmured and safely tucked in his arms, she fell asleep.
They were together again...
