Hello all, here is one more picture from the Oulanka national park in Kuusamo, Finland.
Usually I try to keep politics separate from my photography, but I thought I should write a little bit about this one subject if I just can. There is an initiative for a law pending in the Finnish parliament that would allow a multinational hotel company to build up to 70'000 places for tourists in the national park of Pallas in Northern Finland. Even though the area is already the most popular national park in Finland, experts say that the delicate nature could not really handle the expansion. I don't really know what can be done to prevent this, but at least for Finns here is some information [link] and here is a petition that can be signed [link]
Argh goddamn PEOPLE! Why can't they just friggin stop thinking about money all the time and not ruin everything by trying to gain more!! If I could read Finnish I would totally sign the petition!
And, um, that's one amazing shot you got there, sir.
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.

Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
I can't believe so many artists dedicate their efforts and time to create authentic works of art for us to USE freely! In the world of 3D stocks [ most of it unknown to the photomanipulators ] you can find truly inspiring fantasy and surreal elements that could never be captured by a regular camera. And the best part is that most of them come in a transparent background, so we can simply click and drag onto our work. How fun, fast and easy is that?
A former volunteer with the Artist Relations team, `kuschelirmel has always been a wonderful role model within the community.
With a vibrant and eclectic gallery that would make anyone proud, her dedication to providing informative and easy to follow tutorials, journal CSS, and inspirational stock is clearly long overdue for recognition.

The link to the petition doesn't work. You need to delete the period in the end of the address to make it work
