It never occurred to me until much later how much pain our grandfather was going through that autumn Wednesday morning. Despite all his cold charades it was impossible to say that he didn’t love her, very, very much, and even more impossible to assume that he didn’t know the risks involved in setting her free. He knew that the bounty on his possessions were legendary, and a possession of his she was, unparalleled in price. He could not have known she would make it, that subjecting her to such perilous forces would not have been in vain. But his faith was stronger. Despite his misgivings, he steeled himself to let her go, for the greater good, for the sliver of a chance that her fate would make the difference.

And so, after having held her in his arms for the shortest length of time, after having her returned to him unharmed from the fiery catastrophe that she should have perished in with the rest of her immediate family, Wilhelm Gandelach smiled and waved, a lone cold tear carving a silvery fissure down his aged face, as Shula called out to him, “Auf Wiedersehen, granpapa!”, a farewell he could only have seen as, when it echoed in his mind’s ear for the long and lonely months after, her last goodbye.

My entry for 's contest, OC section!

It may be simple but it's the first full-CG of any of my characters I've done, and I'm quite gleeful and finally doing it and portraying my Shula in the light she deserves. ^^

It has a logo! *points* Lol at the cheap Gundam SEED rip-off, but since I'm chasing vainly after Mr Hirai's footsteps it felt only right to pay homage to this great series he helped create. I'm gonna be using it and the little © at the bottom for any future Vespiera's Vampire pictures that I deem good enough, hahah.

Okay... for those of you who don't know and can be bothered reading, VV is my novel that I'm trying to finally pen this and next year. Shula is a main and pivotal plot character. Her role? She gets kidnapped. Thus ends my quick summary. If you're interested I'll reveal more as the pictures come... I could write a helluva lot now but I really should be going to school.
