This is my entry for contest. We were supposed to pick one of the "background" characters. I chose the general's horse. I think he became my favorite character, even if there were only a few scenes with him.

Name: Ace
Gender: Gelding
Age: 7 yrs.

History: Ace is Strider's younger brother, making him Spirit's uncle.

Ace was born in a U.S. Army camp. He lived there until he was about two years old, when one night one of the soldiers left his stall door open and he wandered out of the camp and into the wild.

As he wandered around for a few days, he stumbled across a herd of horses. The stallion of the herd came up to investigate the new visitor. Ace and the stallion immediately knew they were brothers. Ace stayed with the herd for a while. He and Esperanza became great friends, and he even got to play with his nephew when he was born.

But one day, soldier's came to the herd's home and captured Ace again. But, he knew that if he didn't go with them, that they would try and take his brother and his family. With one look towards his family, he said his last good-bye.

Colonel's horse belongs to DreamWorks.
