I felt his breath on my neck, hesitant and gentle. His wasted arm snaked over my shoulder and wrapped itself around my collar bone, and his hand placed itself over my heart. He trembled, disbelieving, and sighed as the rhythmic beating sprung to life beneath his lithe fingers.

And I closed my eyes as his lips breathed a haunting melody into my ear....
