Oh... it wasn't much of anything really. Not even my idea, funnily enough.

Started as more of a 'study group', then it kinda grew... funny how that kind of thing happens! lol!

A buddy of mine ( an accountant at the time ) really wanted me to run with it. 'You keep it up and I'll handle all the paperwork!' I think he was considering donations and the like!

That was quite some time ago... several lives it feels like... back when I considered that there was something to 'believe in'.

Hmmm... wasn't it L. Ron Hubbard who said something about if you want to make money, start a religion? (or was that Charles Manson?) Either way, hey, if you have the charisma, you don't need to believe. Be there, and they will come! Or something like that.

Yup. EXACTLY the danger of it! Then you start to believe your own hype and you are lost forever. Then the government rolls in a modified tank laden with explosive tear gas...

I dread what could have happened out of all that. I can't keep a girlfriend without them going insane on me... imagine a whole little colony of insane zealots?!?

I just had to realize that I'm the only one that can live like I do... and not try to get anyone else into it. It seems people need a certain amount of ... I'm not even sure what to call it... 'Reality'? 'Order'? 'Constraints'? .. to define themselves against otherwise they start to break down rather quickly. Luckily, I was born 'broken'.. so it doesn't bother me.
