treading thoughts that torment, things i cannot grasp nor could i have the strength to fathom... the mental constitution to imagine. all i can do is silence them and drown their marching cries in other thoughts and prayers. sometimes in ignorance. more often, in faith.

drops of water fell harder on the angel's wings, pulling him under, drowning him in his own unwelcomed thoughts and fears. but hope was still there, like certain birds' coatings that do not get wet in water, and helped him stay above...
The light weighed heavy upon his shoulders, illuminating the doubts boiling within. Old fears haunt again.

and the water then followed the paths of the lines of his face, by his eyes by his brow, like a grace that by his lips, fell aground and shouted loud with a sound that seems to hammer, on his thoughts and on his wings, every drop of water hammers... he is silent, in between, this autumn rain and his own anvil, he resides on broken thoughts and barren dreams, he reclines on dawn and morning, he would wrong some higher one... he would covet his return, and then build himself a ladder...
and ascending now he dreams, dwelling morning and reclining against his pillow, under light of dawn.
And as the light weighed upon his wings, the shadow that it casts, and that flows from his doubts pulled him further down in a cauldron where all his sentience would be boiled down to thoughts.
