Artist's Comments
There are these little nature preserves scattered all over Florida. Several of them are also parks, and several of those are near by enough for Shawn, my husband and I to go and pitter along their board walks.
Turkey Creek Sanctuary [link] is a gorgeous park. They have a canoe launch, which has gorgeous little spots along the board walk that look over the river, and another board walk that's all overlooks. There's a butterfly garden and they've labelled several plants along the way.
This tree wasn't labelled however. These little folded leaf 'hands' were everywhere and I just stood up on my tip toes, hit the 'macro' and wished for the best. I guess my wishes came true for this one.
