Hey everyone, here's a step-by-step painting of my new Stealth Iron Man. He was made from a House of M Iron Man, War Machine forearms/hands, and a Thorbuster Iron Man head that was heavily modded. Pretty much the same base as my Iron Man with that light up control panel except I added shoulder armor, hip armor, and there's rocket pods on his back. Also I installed a red/orange LED in his chest, kinda like the light-up Sideshow statue.
This was a pretty basic paint job but some people might get a kick out of seeing what the steps are to painting a custom figure. I'll probably do some action shots/close ups of this figure for a later deviation so you can see him from all angles.
After it's cured I run a cotton sock over the surface and it smooths it. I noticed flat colors like black and dark blue have a sort of inconsistant drying, almost like a film over it. Buffing just blends the color into one uniform shade I found.
