I needed some painting practice before I hit the big commissions so I whipped up a sketch and sat down for a bit today

watercolor, gouache, India ink
and it's much more desaturated in real life- the contrast is also much more mellow.

I realized however, I should have made her chin push a bit more forward
either way

well the original panting is more grey/green with some yellow-ish hues

kind of manipulated this one
but myes
practice before the larger projects to come ;)
