Baron+Haru 'Shall we Dance?'

I do not own Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, Haru, or any of the characters from "The Cat Returns". I am just an insignificant insect that is just a fan. All characters belong to Studio Ghibli and Disney.



This is one of the most beautiful stories from Ghibli Films.

This is now the final product in my art project, and inspiration from the movie "The Cat Returns" a beautiful and classic film, that I adore. This is something, I always wish that someone would draw or if Ghibli, would animate, of Haru looking very much like the bell of the ball, about to dance with the very handsome and charming, Baron Humbert von Gikkingen, leading her to a waltz. Haru, once a shy and unsure girl, here has blossomed to an elegant young lady. This I hope will be a love to all who loves the classic. I know there are some Haru and Baron Fan art, but it is always as Haru in her cat form when she was unsure and distrustful in herself. This is she, in her own true form, short haircut (I love drawing characters with short hair) and very much the young lady she is meant to be. Here she stands her ground, and trust in her decisions. Haru has indeed grown, in this art, worthy of the Baron’s attention. Baron, in his cloak and debonair manner that is both classic and reminiscent of times past. His eyes sparkle at his dance partner. I wish I could have drawn these two better…. I really do not do them justice… Nevertheless, I had this zeal to get this done quickly before the holidays.

I drew this out and if you see my scraps, you can see them, when I first sketched them out. I hope you like this. I will be back to punk and ruffian attitude… of alien love, death, violence, and tattoos! (Sigh) Yet for now… I wish someone would take me ballroom dancing…

I hope that those who like writing "The Cat Returns" fan fiction will find some inspiration from this.
