Name: Ronaz Breed: Andalusian Age: 7 years old Color: Buckskin
(Color genetics: Ee/AA/-Cr) Markings: White sock on right hind leg, and a small star. Rules for breeding: I do not mind crossbreeding him, but I'd like to keep his offspring's colors natural. I have a big personal interest in equine coat colors, so I'd prefer him being bred to mares with colors you can see in real life.

I figured I'd try out *Losmios' tutorial, and here's the result. I really, really *love* this way of coloring, and I think I'll stick with Los' style for a while. Thank you for an awsome tutorial, Mia!
I also read *moonfeather's journal, about the HorseArt RPG, and will most likely join up once I've decided on a stable name, and Ronaz will be my foundation stud.
I wanted to draw a random horse, just to try out the tutorial, but he came out so well I had to give him a name. I decided on a semi-realistic style for this guy. The background is very simple, but I never ment to put that much effort into it either.
<EDIT>
Ref pic for those who think his anatomy's a bit off: [link]
It may be the angle that causes issues (like ~yoruuko mentioned). I guess I'll have to find a better ref and study more next time.
This is amazing Wonderful job with the coloring.
One thing that bothers me is the neck and head though, the neck looks a tiny bit too short and the head a bit too small. Other than that, it's amazing

Thank you, I always appreciate constructive criticism.
About the head and neck, I can agree with you. The reference pic looked pretty much like this, but it was very small and kinda blurry, so maybe I'm a bit off in the proportions. Here's the ref pic if you would like to compare: [link]

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.
