NOTE: Hey art thiefs! There are hidden copyrights on this image, can YOU find all 10? 'cause I sure can! And use them to get your butt banned and maybe even take you to court.
Hol-al-ee crap. This took foreverrrrrr!
Lemme back up a bit, this is for mah loverly fursona Iridescent Catastrophe. She had posted a request on a studio I was browsing, and it grabbed my attention, so I asked Carrot if she'd mind me doing it. Obviously Carrot gave me to go ahead and 8 hours later here we are!
Catastrophe is a part arabian Pegicorn who has a faintly dappled coat, black mane, light tail, and ice-appearing horn. She also can manipulate shadows and transforms into an artic wolf at will (Note the wolf in the moon). She's a bit mistrusting and cold towards others, and also happens to live in the realm of ice and snow.
My first challenge was finding a horse that struck my fancy. First I was just trying to find a dapple gray, then I decided I wanted a little challenge, so I set out for a white horse. That didn't work to well either. After a while of searching I got the strange urge to REALLY push myself and got it in my head that I wanted to colorize my mare Holly. After all, she's a fine looking girl and half arabian. The only problem was she's chestnut. Here's the original picture: [link]
3 hours later I was finally happy with the result, my god did I have some serious hand cramps. So, once I was satisfied with Holly's new paint job, I moved onto wings. I'm aware that they're pretty dang big, but don't they have to be to lift a 1 ton animal? The horn was easy, I found it premade from a stocker I'll list below.
I seriously lucked out with finding a background picture. Granted it was day light, so-so quality and had a dog on it, I still love those cliffs and clouds. So some fiddling later and a buttload of space brushes, I now had my background.
One of the hardest parts was blending the legs into the snow. I'm still not super happy, but its gotta do. Ashie and I racked our brains to no avail. I'm also not super thrilled with the shadow or wing blending. Ah, well, I did my best. The wolf and moon gave me a hard time also.
I'm sure I was going to say more, but my brain is fried. After 8 hours of work I'm very pleased with the overall result. I hope Carrot and you guys feel the same. ;^D

Bloody hell! Holy banana! You got to be kidding?! That's so fricking awesome and like I've mentioned in the note, I'm never ever going to be able to colourise a chestnut grey or even dapple grey, let alone fiddle with snow. Shexy pair of wings. The text is amazing. Fantastic sky and background. Precious eyes she has. Overall, priceless! I'm abit stunned by the number of copyrights and I squinted my eyes, only to manage to find eight, including the one that says "Photomanip: Eagle-sama". Not that I'm going to steal this masterpiece but I think you're the first person who ever slapped ten copyrights on an artwork but that's a smart move, seeing you've spend so much time and effort on it. And of course, I swear I will repay this favour and kindess soon and hopefully by end of December, before I leave for my holiday. YOU definitely deserves a feature in my journal so I'll go and grab some awesome pieces from your gallery. THANKS A MILLION FOR THE GREAT EFFORT, EAGLE DARL! Immediate and from the carrot.
Wow... This has got to be of the best manips I've seen for a while.
One thing that has me stumped is why the wings look so big at the front... They look to wide to be the horses. Just somthing I thought I should point out.

Yeaaahh, I kinda screwed up on the wings. I shoulda fixed 'em when my mom pointed it out while they were still a seperate layer. That's what I get for being arrogent.
Aw, never say never -coughs-. I've been doing this for 3 years, and wouldn't have even dreamed of such a challenge a couple months ago even.
I'm so glad you love it! I got the reaction I was hoping for! -dances-
Oh yes, all my images have a good number of copyrights (5-7 usually), and I just usually don't point 'em out. Hehe, the big one isn't included. -laughs manicly- I feel in this age of theifs I must mark my best up reaaalll good. I hope they don't bother you, I always try to make them inconspicuous.
Awww, thank you. You don't have to, I do this for fun and a way to channel emotions and keep me busy. But if you want to, I won't say no. x^D
