One day I was making supper and my four cats were all in the kitchen "helping" me. (Yes, I did say "four" cats.) In order to get from one side of the kitchen to the other I had to get through the cats. I held my breath, raised my arms and pretended to swim across. My son laughed and cried with delight," Hey! You are swimming in kitties!"
I have not done something like this before. Most of the cats came from observing my own menagerie. I had to start colouring it before it was done in order to keep the cats separate. The white cat just kind of emerged, so I left her. Mostly they are happy, but notice the Mrs. Norrisness of the cat in the bottom left-hand corner. There was an actual cat hair on the scanner across her neck. What realizism! The clouds came later. They are not the most realistic creatures, but at least they look like cats, and they do resemble the picture I had in my mind (a generally scary place to be-if in doubt, check "A Tail of Three Sharkies".).

Thanks. I was worried they might look too much alike or just look like a jumble of fur. I really did want them to look like different types of cats. It really does seem like I am swimming through cats in my house sometimes.

I don't think I've ever seen so many cats in a single space!
I love how colourful this is and how each cat looks different, with their own expressions.

Softness yes, if you can manage to keep them happy and stay away from their claws.
