My inspiration is from "Atlas Shrugged", p.655 (HB). I won't set the context; for those who're familialr with the book--they'll know.
It reads "She [Dagny] saw them as they went by, written on the walls of modest structures, over sooted roofs, down slender smokestacks, on the curves of tanks: Reynolds Harvesters--Macey Cement--Quinlan & Jones Pressed Alfalfa--Home of the Crawford Mattress--Benjamin Wylie Grain and Feed...." (emphasis mine).
I have this grand ambition to illustrate "Atlas Shrugged" one day. In one of my copies of the book I have noted the pages where Rand wrote something that is descriptive to the point I have made a few artworks from her passages. There are portraits, landscapes, interiors, cityscapes, still lifes and more.

Wow.
I think this is a wonderful depiction of the passage from book!
I also like the perspective and the direction of the light - how the shadows are cast on the structures.
I really hope you do achieve your ambition to illustrate the book one day; you already have some interested buyers
Would love to see some more of the artworks you have done for the novel.
