"Oh, Kirsty, so eager to play, so reluctant to admit it..."

I was driving to my dental appointment, but I learned that it was cancelled when I got there. (Grrr, that was a waste of a quarter-tank that I want back!) Defeated, I went Subway to eat, waiting for the local comic store to open, and the product was this sketch and a song I was singing on a loop:

"Elliott and Kirsty drinkin' some tea / K-I-L-L-I-N-G / First add sugar, then add spice / Knowin' your flesh is really, really nice!"

The image is a combination of a "freed" Elliott Spenser (in Pinhead costume, as seen in the end of Hellbound) and his adversary-and-love interest, Kirsty Cotton (as seen in Hellseeker). Even after three films — four, if you count Hell on Earth, their tantalising and twisted love affair has yet to be consummated — and remains infuriatingly platonic!

(I have recently read that Hellraiser creator Clive Barker has accepted to write the screenplay for the upcoming Hellraiser remake, with more detail about Pinhead's origins, which hopefully means MORE ELLIOTT! Although, according to a recent interview, Doug Bradley has yet to be approached to play the part of Elliott/Pinhead, but I hope he will! And maybe this remake will bring more insight to Pinhead and Elliott — and perhaps even Kirsty. Also, check out this wonderful music video. Beware, it contains spoilers!)
