Acrylic, colored pencil, and paint marker.

This is a self portrait of myself, dedicated to my late brother, Romeo, who was killed in a car accident at the age of 21 when I was 14. When I was young, around 9 years old, and my brother would come home from hanging out with his friends, curious me would ask "where were you?! Where did you go?" He would joke and say "Somewhere over the rainbow." I really thought he was serious, and he even promised he would take me there sometime. As a kid I always imagined what that place 'over the rainbow' would look like, and I couldn't wait until the day I could finally see it formyself. This painting is a representation of that place that resides in me..

Gallery1988 LA released this as a limited edition giclee print in an edition of only 88. It is selling for $75 and only a few are left. Email them at gallery1988@aol.com to order.

This is beautiful, and the story that goes along with it is beautiful and sad as well. I'm sorry about your brother.

The idea behind the picture is very strong and moving, as the picture is. I can feel the place over the rainbow and would like to see it for myself someday too!

I like how the background color helps to pop out the pic.
