Artist's Comments
okay guys i really need your comments now more than ever, this painting and a few others i will put up in the next few days are a big part of my exhibition and i could really use some feed back on them. Any comments good or bad are welcome.
i was really worried about painting a face, its like the first ive painted this close up, its a bit dark but she was in shadow and when you see the others you'll notice a theme!!
forgot to add...
it actually helps me that its at an odd angle, otherwise i just try to paint what i think a face looks like, if i pretend its just flesh i can concentrate on the tones and shadows and let them create the features. if that makes sense!

The face is so expressive! I love that you did not
Bombard it with to much color!
And what a skill to paint it at that angle and get the
Proportions right! I love that the eyes are closed, I am a bit worried about the bump underneath the nostril I love the lips the chin has a highlight that
Doesnt quite fit, but then does not look odd either.
Love the frown ! Love the neck ! Well done
I would buy it! Good Luck.
Series of articles featuring works from Digital Art > Panintings, Drawings, Misc., & Mixed Media based on a "theme." The 7th article in the series features works with a "Bird" theme.
Here are 100 (and a few more) of some very nice photographs on deviantART that I think should get some attention. Some already have a fair bit, but deserve it. So I'm giving them more.
