This is just a fairly quick piece I did for fun. Its acrylic washes with greyscale acrylic and gouache on top. I then sprayed it and glazed color on top.

At my final crit the instructor told me to do a lot of little pieces over the summer instead of one big piece that's over complicated (like having 15 pirates). I decided to go for the best of both worlds. There's 15 tiny pirates scattered thoughout this thing. Some of them are kind of hard to make out.

The piece explains itself very nicely and seems to have a story to tell. The depth you created using the different blue tones is great.
