it's easy! I took two pans, one batch of cake mix and like 10 bowls. Split the cake itno the bowls and dye them different colors. Put a color in each pan and bake for like 8 mins. then in each pan put another color on top then bake for another 8 mins. eventually you'll have all the colors on it and the full time bake thing taken care of all at once. when you're done just put one of the cakes on the other and wam! amazing layers! hope some of it made sense???
I have to ask, do you have any idea if it would work if you just poured the layers of colour on top of one another, or would it all smush together? It seems like if you poured in one layer and let it settle, it would be easy enough to spread another on top, but I have no idea. Hehe. I think I might try something like this for my next cake.
Tie dye would be cool... hehehehe. Well, assuming I can get my friend to agree to a vanilla birthday cake instead of chocolate, I think I'll have to try, and see how it goes! Thanks for the tip!
