Tigon and the princess.

This part is probably not a surprise, really.

Having entered the castle while it was under seige, Tigon can't really leave, so he helps out with the defenses. The castle has no strong captain, so he more or less takes charge of the defense. Princess Kaisa (that's the girl's name) sees him from time to time as she helps out in the hospital

One day, while on the walls, Tigon overhears some soldiers jawing about the princess' youth. It seems that when she was young, some dragon came stomping around poisoning the land, and the townspeople decided to give him the princess and see if he'd stop. (Don't ask me why, that's just the thing to do.)

Fortunately for her, some random boy stopped by and killed the dragon, though unfortunately he got his finger bitten off. She, like the thoughtless girl she was, used her ring to bind the wound, and so she lost it. The ring was her birthright, and without it she can never be queen of her people.

Tigon manages to put two and two together, and comes to Kaisa and gives her back the ring. He doesn't tell her an awful lot about how he got it, said he found it in the castle somewhere, but she catches on.

Anyway. This shows the poignant moment when he presents her with the ring. I kinda like this picture because everything looks so perfect, with the sun streaming through and all.

On the other hand, its a little too perfect. Who in their right mind would wear a dress like that in a hospital, with the blood and dirt and everything?
