Like many groups before us we must stand up and fight for our rights! In the United States the constitution is set up to protect religion from the government but now they are taking over our government and threatening our rights. If you like me fear what will happen if we allow the god delusion to continue please use my stamp. But dont stop there, stand up where ever you are, speak your mind, show that you are proud of what you don't believe!
F#%kin' A mate!
Did you ever see those two documentaries that were released last year? I think they were called "Jesus Camp" and...oh hell...I forget the name of the other one! Just watching the trailers made me nauseous! Those fundies are like a bloody cult!

I've been pretty vocal in the DeviantART forums these days... I'm definitely proud of my atheism

And I can't say that I completely agree with your message either. The word 'theist' applies to anyone and everyone who believes in some kind of god(s), not just Christians or whatever single group you may be against. Even so, not all Christians nor all of those with other theistic beliefs are necessarily against your right to be a non-theist.
I hope you don't take this as a flame, because it isn't intended to be one. It's just that being a deist (which is one type of theist), I find it rather offensive to be lumped with a few radical fundies.
Yeah I sure am stupid sometimes
I know what the word means do you think I would make such a statment without knowing so? Personally I think its all dibble even deism which in many cases acknowledges the biblical god or at least claims to be monotheistic. The thought that we actually have a clue how everything was created is preposterous, you cant, and none of our "holly books" will ever give you that.
I don't take it as a flame but I will defend myself and clarify my statement.
If your informed then you would immediately think of the religious groups that influence the United States politics after reading my statement. Evangelists being the first on my mind and if I were to assume I would say other people would draw the same conclusion. At the very end I encourage people to take a stand and do whats currently considered in poor taste or down right rude and thats asking tough questions about religion.
I'm quoting Sam Harris here
"The idea, therefore, that religious faith is somehow a sacred human convention—distinguished, as it is, both by the extravagance of its claims and by the paucity of its evidence—is really too great a monstrosity to be appreciated in all its glory"
You know what in the end I really don't care if that offends you, want to know why?
Its because I think religion no matter what shape it comes in is foolish and dangerous. You can argue that there is much good done in the name of it but I could just as easily argue that anything carried out in the name of religion could have been done just as easily though the use of our ethics. Now having said that had you removed religion a lot of the atrosities of the past would probably never come to pass. That is a great assumption but Im definitely not the only person who thinks so.

Where am I supposed to hide now?
What am I supposed to do?
Did you really think I wouldn't see this through?
