Artist's Comments

Did you ever have enough of the "lol", "cool", "great", "neat", "awesome", "brilliant", ":)" kinda comment? I am lucky I don't get those that much, but I find it a little annoying.

Enjoy licking! ;)

I am in complete agreement with you. Oftentimes, I am puzzled why a particular person makes a fave or places me on their friend's list. It is flattering and when they don't say anything, I go explore their gallery thoroughly to see what theme runs through it that I would appeal to them. I stop short of pulling out my hair over it. On the other hand, maybe some people just are not very good at verbalizing their thoughts. So, I leave it at that.

I have recently noticed how many comments I'm receiving with messages of one of two words. What is the point of saying "cool", "nice" etc?
What most artists want are comments which say something more and describe what they like and don't like about the piece in question.

I like to say that the stamp speaks volumes to me... hense the tag place on my journal! :)

I like the colour and the layout, however maybe the thinner text could do with being a tad thicker as it seems thin and a bit hard to read.

Nice stamp though, and a very good point you raised about short/ pointless one worded comments. :D

I don't think people will ever cure of this... It's always nice to understand what people like or not, to know what to stop doing, if I'm doing something wrong, where to improove... Personaly, I agree with getting a fave or a devwatch without a comment, that doesn't bother me. Maybe those poeple can't speak english, or they simply can't explain why do they like what they see... Maybe they can express themselves in something else than words...
Thank you for the tag! And I'll try to fix it a little, but now I'm a little in a  mood, so....

Interesting how long the comments to this stamp are ;)
But yeah I am also tired of those comments. It is so meaningless to just write cool. I try to never do that unless sometimes the piece of artwork is so stunning that i have nothing to say excpt that but even then I try to point out why I like it and what exactly makes it so wonderful to my. ;)
Well anyways, if that's okay with oyu I will use it in my shoutboard.

Then I guess my mission is accomplished! :evillaugh:
It's more than ok, trust me :D I just wanted to point out that I do not enjoy meaningless comments. However, I have this annoying habbit of answering them, just for the sake of politeness... I don't know if it's good or bad, though... :fear:
