Inspired by Ben Harper's song "With my own two hands", I did this self portrait.

I've always believed art as a sort of magic. So this is me as a wizard holding the power to make dreams come true.

Her eyes look too bright, and I'm sure you worked very hard on the hands. Hands are bitches to paint, but there is something about them. it's around the wrists, and it's bugging me but I can't pin it down. Besides this it is a wonderful sentiment, and you show a clear understanding of facial structure. The background might also have benefited from some flying sparks, energy trails, exc. Just because art is sort of like magic right? so magic is spectacular. Make the light spectacular. Okay I'm done with my critique now haha. Good Job :)

Well I didn't work really hard on hands, probably that's why they're a bit stiff. and yeah I have to study again all the structure for them :)
THe eyes,...you mean the white part of them?Yes, you're right...I should darken more, thanks!
I thought about a better background...but I wanted to let the focus on the main character...maybe I should just cut a bit the bg on the sides...I will see...thanks for the thoughtful comment! :)
