My muse struck again. I started out with the plain field, added the stream and left it for a couple of days. Then, today, I remembered that I started it and thought about what to do with it. So I started to play around with it, tried out a couple of waterfalls, finally picked two shots of the niagara falls and put them on and had to face the problem of the two totally different skies they had. I remembered the wonderful sky stock I had and quickly found one I liked, added it and started to play around with the colors. After all the blending, colorizing etc. was done (which was a hell lot of fun btw) I started to look for something else to add and finally decided to use this beautiful picture of Thunder by [link] because I loved the expression on the third of the face you could see. It was a pain to remove the halter but finally, after the horse was in position and the picture was as good as done I decided that it was too boring and thought about what else to do with it. I added some clouds to the waterfalls to create mist and make the border between waterfall and field seem less obvious and stumbled over the light ray tutorial you can find in my favourites and, voila! Here it is! I rather like this piece and even though the lighting isn't 100% perfect (I only just started worrying about that) I still think this is one of my best pieces ever... I hope you enjoy

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them. ~Thomas Merton
i dunno but this picture makes me imagine that buzzing calm feeling, as if something is going to happen but you don't know what just because it'll seem as if it's too calm, too quiet...
