The queen had died two days before their golden wedding anniversary, and just a few days before her death, she had had a beautiful peach-colored dress made for the party. She was buried wearing that dress, to everyone's irony, but the king tore a piece and kept it.

Reference/filter/effect-free as always, speed-painted. Hope you guys like.

I would've written more but was afraid I'd miss it... looks like I beat paws only by 16 seconds... 0_o
that was close!. I love the story behind it thought I thought he looked a bit more wizardly than kingly with the hood. Love the lighting and the way it plays off his face and the fabric... the hood could use a bit more work, tho =)
