Oh, nope (in fact i'm very glad when people think that it's some kind of menu).

That's just an eye-hack. They're just (big) icons whom text are hiding under the screen. And plus; if your directories and icons are one-clickable (opening with one click) there's no differences between a menu and icons.

I don't like working Java-based menus, they're wasting too many CPU's. And in this hack; you don't waste extra screen area for a menu
