I finally finished page 9. I'll bet that those of you who have kept up with the last 8 pages could have seen this coming.

Yes, I know that Temari acts more like a hardass bitch when it comes to emotions, but I have a hard time believing that she didn't freak out and end up in a state of utter shock when she found out that her father was dead. I mean, come on.. she was freaking scared to death of her own brother for cryin out loud! And when you get right down to it, they're still human, after all, as we learned from Zabuza when haku died. Gaara, on the other hand, I couldn't see giving a flying frick if he was dead or alive. I think he would be happy to know that Kazekage was gone, for all he cared about him. (that's one of a few reasons why I did not have him attend the meeting)
... yes, a pillow just plopped down into poor, confused kankuro's lap in the first panel XD hehehe.. he looks like a lil' prince in the third -'s him-
I spent a lot of time thinking this page out quite thoroughly. the second and third panels on the top were originally panel two (i divided it up) and the panel with temari looking like she's about to vomit, was originally going to be a quick pan of the shocked faces in the room, but I decided to save that for another panel where I had more space. the very LAST panel, I actually turned upside-down in photoshop because I drew it right-side-up, but then decided that I wanted to keep with the 'spiraling panels' theme that I had unintentionally started with the rightside up, turned on its side, it only seemed right if I turned it upside down.. o: I can't wait to get my inks and tones on this page -itching to do it but has other inking/toning to do first-

P.S.- the characters above temari read 'N-nani?' (which means 'w-what?') and the characters below temari and kankuro read '...shitai ka' (which means "...he's dead?"). I DO realize that the better way to say that would be '... shitai des ka', I'll probably fix that when I get to the inks =/
